This course is ideal for me

Having recently moved near to Boldon golf course I booked a round with my buddy. We really enjoyed our round then went into the club for a beer and sandwich. Staff and people were so friendly. The whole place had a pleasant and comfortable feel about it. Come April I will apply for membership. Boldon will be my new golf home. I am so looking forward to it.

January tough conditions

Cannot complain at 8 quid via Golf Now.

Forward tees probably had the course playing only 5,000 yards.

Very cold late on with increased winds.

Too many winter greens on and the normal greens were very bobbly.

Disappointed bar was not open after our game as we needed a hot drink we were freezing at end.On A Saturday afternoon you would of expected it to be open

Pro was friendly and helpful

Need to play it again when in better condition towards summer.

Played very well score wise 39 points.

Great Value for the time of year

First time playing Boldon GC despite passing it frequently, booked on. Hot deal for £8 each so definite VFM. Course was in good condition considering the recent weather and time of year, some winter greens on and mostly winter tees in play.

Only downside was the pace of play which seems to coincide with the majority of reviews posted.

Will definitely return for another round.

Rude members

Wounded inappropriate language wouldn't lete post my original review.

Played here Friday 16 Sept 22 tee off was 1356, I'm hoping you will have records of who played as there was a member booked on the 4 ball before us who was to be honest absolutely disgraceful and was going on like a spoilt bairn who had had his sweets nicked. Came bounding over asking if I was a guest playing (2 ball) and went on to inform me he was a member and he was the 4 ball Infront of me.

There was also another 4 ball (guests) must have been aged 50-60 who had travelled from Sedgefield to play, waiting to tee off who hadn't played Boldon before. He was acting like a .......... with them too. I'm pretty sure you won't be seeing them again.

He was slating the guy pro shop for letting both of our groups to try tee off earlier than our original tee time.

Spent the remainder of the round raging as I've met arrogant members before on other courses but this bloke takes the biscuit.

Can't fault the course it's in great condition and hats off to the green keeps and course staff and love playing it, it's just a shame some of your members are idiots.

I'd be more than happy to discuss this with the course if you can get my details from GN.

I won’t be back

Course layout is ok with some nice holes. The greens however were the worst I have played all year, thick lines in every green with sand all over them and absolutely wet through. The greens also did not run through and were slow.

Nets to warm up not useable and the putting green was too small to be of use.

I’m sure it will suit if you are a beginner but for anyone who is used to a good quality course I would give it a serve.
