Boldon Golf Club

Loved playing here..well laid out course with lovely fairways and greens..interesting layout as well.

The course was in surprisingly good condition given the heavy rain during the two days before I played. Only water remaining in some bunkers, the rest of the course immaculate. That while some neighbouring courses were reported to have closed.

I booked a single teetime last minute, but was welcomed by three members to join them. Ended up being a very enjoyable round.

As said, the course was in great condition, though the course layout is a bit quirky, with the first opportunity to take out the driver being the 6th hole.

Fantastic course with a few hills, arrived fairly early and the fella in the shop (apologies, not sure what his name is) let us tee off early which was handy.

The course itself is fairly open plan with wide fairways. The rough was punishing, but the bunkers are shallow in most cases. Greens were in good condition across the board. Staff very friendly, the halfway house is a great touch, it is cash only so but we didn’t have any so they gave us beers on the house as guests which was a lovely gesture. Everyone on the course and around the club was friendly and chatty, enjoyed a lovely pint in the clubhouse afterwards sat in the sun. Will definitely visit again, thanks.

A very pleasant course to play. A reasonable mixture of par 3, 4 &. 5 holes. Greens in good condition

I have played at Boldon a few times but this time was absolutely atrocious. We where followed by loud lawnmowers all the way around the course. While teeing off they would sit on the fairway and continue to move around making it difficult to actually tee off. At one point one lawnmower stoped around 10 yards from me waiting for me to take my shot with it still turned on. It was only when we actually got to the 18th green they started to turn them off when taking our shots. It is a shame because I have really enjoyed playing Boldon until now.

First time playing on another course, was very surprised at how much better quality it was, I am a beginner at best and this course was a treat to play on

Great course , one of my favourite places. A little soggy in places but that's to be expected.

First time I play this course. The course is not very long, but offers a good amount of variety. Overall the course is in fairly good condition. Still winter tees, a couple of temporary greens, still some muddy patches here and there. Should dry up further in the season.

Got a very hearty welcome from the staff and some of the members playing ahead of our group. Despite them being a couple of foursomes of veterans their pace of play was very good.

All in all a very enjoyable round. In the shortlist to become my home course.

First time played this course and was in great condition for February! Lovely views too.

Having recently moved near to Boldon golf course I booked a round with my buddy. We really enjoyed our round then went into the club for a beer and sandwich. Staff and people were so friendly. The whole place had a pleasant and comfortable feel about it. Come April I will apply for membership. Boldon will be my new golf home. I am so looking forward to it.

Cannot complain at 8 quid via Golf Now.

Forward tees probably had the course playing only 5,000 yards.

Very cold late on with increased winds.

Too many winter greens on and the normal greens were very bobbly.

Disappointed bar was not open after our game as we needed a hot drink we were freezing at end.On A Saturday afternoon you would of expected it to be open

Need to play it again when in better condition towards summer.

Played very well score wise 39 points.
