Too cramped up

Our set off time was delayed by 30min and on the course you'd be often waiting 2-3 groups ahead of you. Holes/fairways crossed each other so you'd be waiting due to that as well. Not vey well paced game and poor organisation. Greens were excellent however.

Need a map to get around a poor course

Very poorly maintained and terribly designed course. Fairways cross all the time resulting in 12 people 2 carts and 4 golfers in buggy’s all on the same fairway. If you could call them fairways. Very little difference between the rough and fairway & not in the good way. Leaves everywhere also making it almost impossible to find a ball if u hit it over 150 yards. Tee boxes an greens right next to each other so you spend more time listening for ‘FORE’ and ducking than playing golf. One to avoid in my opinion.

The Friendliest Club I've Ever Played At

This is my second time playing this course, but it won't be my last. Everyone from.the welcome in the pro shop, to various green keepers we came across, and every fellow golfer we encountered were unbelievably friendly. The course was in excellent condition in every respect.

Nice little track

Great course it was in excellent condition the greens were great the fairways were a little burnt but so are most of the courses around the north east, not the longest of courses but a good layout which just stops you being overly aggressive to the greens on shorter holes, the guy in the pro shop was really helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend it, and good value for money

Great communication and accommodating.

Very good course and helpful staff. I was unavoidably late and contacted en route to explore a delayed tee time. They had no problem sorting this out

Top condition

I have played numerous courses since the season began taking advantage of the deals on golf now and Ravensworth is by far the best course i have played. Greens and course in general in top condition, greens are superb.

The member of staff in the pro shop was excellent and so helpful as was the rest of the members, if i lived any closer I would join.

If you get the chance give it a go and see how you fair on the greens certainly worth every penny.

Pace of play an issue

The course was in very good condition and my only gripe was, only having a 2ball in front of us, the course was clear up until the tenth, where we hit a massive backlog of players. I rang the pro shop on the 13th to make them aware and asked if players joined the course on the tenth but was told no. When we came back across the road to the 15th, suddenly we were on our own. Having a group on the tee, and two waiting is just not good enough im afraid.

Nice course spoiled by poor tee etiquette

The course is currently in very good summer condition with the only issue being lack of sand in some of the bunkers. However, there is a major issue with people that haven't booked a tee time (or paid a green fee?) sneaking onto the course at the Black Lane public entrance on the 3rd tee which is backing the course up and causing considerable frustration for those of us that have booked and started properly on the 1st. I'm guessing that the club is and will continue to miss out on a lot of revenue until they get the matter under control. We also noticed a couple of lads on the course at the North end pinching golf balls which probably explains why players sometimes can't locate the ball on some holes.
