Great course

First time playing here,

The course is fantastic me and a friend played, the gentleman behind the shop counter was a genuine top bloke, explained the full layout of the course which isn’t easy unless you’ve played before.

Fairways great, the greens are very quick and have a lot of slopes either side, you look on the course layout looks somewhat simple as distances are short and a few par 3’s, complete opposite, holes are very quirky and a few out of bounds lay the sides.

Definitely recommend playing here, looking to play again asap.

Oh my god was it Hot 🥵🥵🥵

One of my fav courses up in the North East, always in immaculate condition obviously dry but grounds staff were out filling bunkers with fresh sand and watering greens, which were perfect as always, well done to all the staff in clubhouse and on course/club shop always friendly which is why I always go back payed £22 on a golf now hot deal which is good value

Quirky, short course.

This was my first time playing here, and I would play again. A short course with some challenging and gettable holes. No need for the driver for a lot of it. Greens were in good condition. Unfortunately played at the same time as a senior comp so a lot of waiting around on shots and tee boxes. Would enjoy a free flowing round here.

Challenging Course

Quite a testing course, chose a time when a society went out ahead of us so play was quite slow but there was no hurry. Greens had been spiked but will come goog after rain and a few cuts. I'm 60 and still relatively fit but I knew I'd had a round of golf when I finished as it's quite hilly, so any older guys in the category of dodgy hips, knees or ankles might want to consider hiring a buggy. Enjoyable course. ⛳👍

Good Course

Passed this course for the last 20 years. Didn’t know what to expect but overall for £20 it was well worth the money. Ravenworth has a funky layout and greens next to T-boxes was alittle alarming but ok. The course is slightly slow playing but that was down to the more senior members and like I said greens next to T boxes or overlaps on holes. Didn’t bother me as practiced chipping and putting.

Fairways ripple with the land and greens slow but ok.

Can’t comment about clubhouse as never went in but it looked ok from outside.

Club pro very welcoming.

Quirky Layout

Played on a sunny Thursday, got there early for some putting/striking practice instead of getting outta car and duffing 1st drive, joined in with 2 young lads on their 1st visit here hopefully I helped them on where the holes were as a lot of blind shots to greens, loved it always do will be back again soon

Windy weather
Walked

Ravensworth

Cold and windy, 1st Jan 2026 Morning.

No one on the course so very fast round,

For the time of year the course wasn't bad, But a lot of roped off areas around the greens, understandable, so had to walk back and forth the trolly when around greens.

Winter tees, The greens were in good condition for the time of year.

For £20 fee it was well worth the money.

A big up to the guy in the shop, Very chatty and helpful.

Don't know if i missed it, but couldn't see the air blower to clean trolly and shoes when finished, might be me ?

Over all well worth £20, would play there again.

Take your wellies

Good course with an interesting layout. Greens were surprisingly good for December but all fairways with only a few exceptions were poor / unplayable with very wet, thick mud. Took longer to clean clubs, trolley, shoes etc than to play 18 holes! We used our fairway mats in order to get round.

Too cramped up

Our set off time was delayed by 30min and on the course you'd be often waiting 2-3 groups ahead of you. Holes/fairways crossed each other so you'd be waiting due to that as well. Not vey well paced game and poor organisation. Greens were excellent however.
