Enjoyed it even though the course was frozen.
Decided to grab one last round in 2020, having played once before in heavy rain was good to play in the dry.
But due to the cold weather the whole course was frozen instead.
All winter tees and greens but it was still a great day out.
A great course that I’m looking forward to returning to in the warmer weather.
Frozen solid but taking visitors
Had my last round of 2020 here as they were open and still taking visitors. Nice course but all on temporary greens so played very short with an excellent pace of play with only 2 balls out. Will play again in summer for a more complete experience.
Great, well kept course!
An excellent kept course with some challenging dog leg holes and sloping greens. Gentleman in the shop was helpful in terms of buggy hire and was happy to explain the covid restrictions. The fairways were in great nick and credit must go to the greens keepers for the whole condition of the course. I enjoyed my round and will certainly be returning.
Half the greens were replaced with holes in the fairway none of which had any temporary greens cut around them. We weren't informed f these greens been off before we played which would have been a courtesy. The greens need to be maintained I agree but temporary greens should have been properly prepared before hand.
Best course I've played so far this year. Greens in fantastic condition as was the entire course.
Course condition
This course was very demanding the greens where like putting on glass very very good condition. We enjoyed the test and started to get to grips with this tricky course after 4 or 5 holes can't wait to play this course again
Boldon
We found the course in very good nick, the layout was good and the pace of play excellent (3hrs 10 mins for a 3 ball).
I would recommend this as a gentle test of golf with some good reachable par 5's and testing par 3's.
Boldon Golf Course
Good course with some quirky holes and cross fair way tee offs. Couple of holes could do with better guide lollipops so you know which way the fair way is for first time players of the course. Greens in excellent condition and pretty fast. All in all a nice course.
Superb greens
Lovely greens. Fast and true. Course layout interesting overall and challenging to average golfers. Would recommend to anyone over the summer months when the greens are like this. Staff friendly and welcoming. Needs a putting green, apologies if didn’t see it but wasn’t visible or signposted.
