This place will be stunning in the summer, it’s a beautiful place, stunning views and challenging for all types of golfers? Yet some holes to score well on too? Definitely a contender for being my home course this coming season, well done to all involved 🙌

First time playing this course after hearing a lot of possitivr comments about the place over the years. Nipped in the pro shop on arrival but he was teaching someone in the simulator so he nipped out eventually but we didn’t have much conversation and he was back to the lesson but seemed a nice enough chap from our small interaction. Used the practice putting green before going out but it was abit water logged and holes full to brim with water. Most holes are off a driving range matt and one winter green was in play which was pretty terrible, they do seem to be In the process of cutting in wintergreens to most of the holes so in the future might be all winter greens and at that point I wouldn’t advise playing, putting on fairways into giant holes is no fun for any level of golfer. A lot of the holes have been cut short by the winter tees so the course plays a lot shorter than the card currently. Overall I wasn’t blown away by the place it’s reasonably well looked after but wouldn’t put it up there with the likes of worsley marriot, I think hart common even has the upper hand which surprised me as I believe this course is supposedly superior to there.

Excellent golf course very happy to have finally had the chance to play here and the weather made it all the better. From start to finish a pleasure to play. Course design and the upkeep is second to none. Would recommend anyone to have a go.

Course is absolutely amazing. Excellent condition of the greens and the tee boxes. More trimmings on fairways grasses can bring it to prefect. So far it is the only one Manchester course layout familiar to Asian country. Not only long distance and hilly slope but also with challenging greens. Love to come back.

The course was in very good condition apart from the tee boxes which looked neglected. The greens were excellent & everyone on the course was friendly. The course is on the side of a hill & as such so are many of the holes but there is plenty of variety. The clubhouse has just been refurbished & overlooks tge 18th green, so is ideal for a refreshing drink after the round. I like this course & would recommend it but they do need to tidy up the tees

3pm tee time course was in great condition, virtually had the course to ourselves, greens had been well maintained and were quite tricky, a pleasurable afternoon spent apart from the wind but you could hardly put that down to the course! Would definitely pick this course again in the future 👍

Really nice course in excellent condition with fantastic views and great value for money. A real test for the higher handicappers but very enjoyable. I would defo get a buggy next time as some of the hole are quite hilly.

Not the course it once was,but still worth a visit.

First time playing here, course and greens were fantastic considering recent weather. Some really attractive holes and a general pleasure to walk round.

Nice golf course - some challenging holes - good clubhouse.

Worst temporary greens I have ever played I am 61 temps were just plonked at the side if the fairway I only tried 3 temps then gave up it was a disgrace no recommended at all ........

Loved the course but very disappointed that every hole was temp greens so ruined my experience of the course

Be aware 18 holes on temp greens if I would have known this I would not have booked. The quality of the tee mats were very poor no wonder the the club was dead when I left and the car park empty.

Thought the course was in top condition, fairway mats are a good idea to keep the fairways in good condition, all but one green normal summer greens which are some of the best greens you will play. Very hilly course with lots of slope but as a mid handicapper I still enjoyed it…A MUST PLAY COURSE.

course would be good in spring and the winter greens although understand why gave them with this weather they were tiny and poor. you could hit a perfect putt and it would veer off to side. Didn't help after round we came off at 430pm and were last car in car park. Barrier down where you need the code to exit and they had all gone home. nobody there all closed up! you would think they would have told us and given code before round started but no I had to find them on Facebook and thankfully they saw my message and messaged the code

Nice course, shame some of the temporary tees are halfway down the fairways. Got stuck behind a fourball who I’m guessing were members for 12 holes!!! I know they dont have to let me through but Christ they were so slow and totally ruined the experience for me, so much so that it was so dark by the time I got to the 16th hole I couldn’t finish the round

We’d had a bit of rain the days prior and was naturally expecting a mud bath.

Wasn’t the case, had to use mats off fairway which are available at the pro-shop and all greens bar one was fully open.

Greens hallotined as expected for this time of year but on the whole ok.

Clubhouse also great and very welcoming with some really tasty food.

Will be returning over the winter 🥶

Played out of season in rain and on mats but still enjoyed the round. Good course worth every penny.

Really enjoyed playing Bolton GC for the first time on Sunday afternoon. Impressed with the condition of the course and softness of the greens. Great views of the surrounding area and added bonus. Just a small suggestion on having a sign post to the 5th tee (through the trees to the right of the 4th green).
