Bowring Park Golf Course

Massively underrated course. Great condition and interesting holes. Only let down by the lack of halfway house or clubhouse for food and drinks. Also got lost a few times as the next hole is not always easy to find. More signage needed.

The course itself is good only one tiny thing to note when the guy who cuts the grass can he not go over the greens as we had to move a lot of dried grass from the area of play on the greens which interfered with play other than that great course

Course with wide open fairways and plays long. Two par 3s, one par 5 and the rest are par 4s. Played on a Sunday afternoon and cost just £12 plus booking fee. Very reasonable price, espcially on a weekend. Used the course as a warm up for golf weekend coming up. The greens were excellent, fair ways decent. The only thing really letting it down were the bunkers; weeds and hardly any sand. Unplayable. Feels a bit half done/developed atm. Need some kind of seating/cafe. But overall decent enough and great value for money.

Good layout but if you hadn’t played here previously you may get lost. Pace of play was so slow today waiting at every single hole 4 hours 15 is just too long as they must book too many people on. Greens are so bobbly so definitely need attention to bring up to par. Course otherwise fine

Love this course,got back into playing again a couple of months ago and is great for beginners too

Greens are in great condition even after the recent rains

Greens and fairways in good condition, bunkers were awful, the staff need to get out and sort them as they were rock hard, more next hole signs required as well as we got lost twice.

Overall a good game of golf on a really nice course

Ideal for a mid to high handicap golfer. This is a well kept municipal golf clurss. No frills. Signage around the course could be improved. It is good value for money, but don't expect pristine tee boxes, or greens. The greens are good, a little slow maybe, but this course has no pretentio ns to be anything other than a good venue for you and your mates to have a quick Saturday morning game before the footy. Don't expect a bar, there isn't even a pro shop, but what do you expect for less than £20.

Wasn’t expecting much for £16 on a Saturday morning but what a pleasant surprise. Fairways were lovely and the greens in amazing condition. Some lovely holes. Lots of fairway and green side bunkers making you think about positioning. Great for high/mid handicaps. Would think the low ones might find it a bit to easy

Tee'd off 8.03 not a soul in sight, millionaire's golf. First four holes in the best nick I've seen, fairways mown, greens the best ever. Unfortunately crossed the bridge and the greens still in great condition, I couldn't say the same about the fairways, I couldn't distinguish fairway from the second cut. Come on Bowring get this sorted as was a real let down. For the price I can't knock it to much.

Local course playing well. Course well looked after. Signage and tee markers could be better. Greens were a little slow today everyone playing thought. Otherwise good value

Green staff working as hard as they can to get the course to a decent condition without help from local council. Such great potential if it got given to someone who cared.

Course has been modified for the better, really playable for all handicaps. Weather was calm and greens were softish. Round of 102 and Nett 78
