Solid wood of Bluebells and bird calls all made the course that much more special. Photo submitted by Ltjones2004 on 04/24/2024
Interesting course in the heart of the New Forest
Very friendly welcome from the pro shop and the clubhouse staff. Very hot day so took a buggy. Even as a 2 ball behind a ladies match the pace of play was good. Hard running fairways and very good greens. Great value for money too.
Bramshaw
Played the Manor course which was in excellent shape considering how dry it has been. Young lad in the pro shop was superb in welcoming golfers practice are was on the way to the first tee so groups were getting away on time. Greens were in good condition and pin position on some holes made for some nerve racking putts!!
Overall a very pleasant experience
First visit
Very efficient booking system, friendly welcome and helpful staff. Course very enjoyable, the day was spoilt slightly by a 4 ball who were desperately slow and made no attempt to call us through despite falling at least 3 holes behind.
The only other minor complaint was the food was not real value for money - apparently the chef was off sick and the bacon sandwiches were average only.
We will return however as the club have offered us free food next time- not too sure what to do about the slow play!!!!
Brilliant course very well kept
Had a great first time playing this course already looking to come back to play again. The greens are in excellent condition and so are the fairways. My only slight disappointment is half or more of the tee boxes weren’t flat level ground.
The breakfast was perfect and so was the lady who served us.
Branshaw manor
Played this course Sunday and was pleasantly surprised how good the course was. I used to be a member here 3 years ago and can only praise the staff on how good the course was fairways and greens would recommend it right now to anyone
Lovely course, will always come back.
Too crowded
This course is woefully over booked. We did not enjoy our round due to the slow pace of play.
Bank holiday visit
It was our first visit for a few years to Bramshaw, and certainly there had been a few things to note.
I believe the courses have been sold since our last visit, and it’s gone from a members club to pretty much a pay and play location. Nothing wrong with that but unfortunately it wasn’t as good as a few yeas ago.
The layout of the Mannor course is tremendous and real test to your handicap. Sadly the greens were in poor condition which for me is a real let down. Elsewhere on the course it looked a little untidy in places and generally in need of a little tlc.
Also the toilets in the changing room were messy and untidy, with bins overflowing and not enough loo roll in the cubicles.
Having said all of the above, for £32 it’s good value for money, it just needs sharpening up a bit in my opinion.
Recommended
Probably the best course you can play for the money! Amazing value especially on the hot deals. A more challenging course than average, well kept all round. Clubhouse staff very friendly and accommodating when bad traffic made me late for the tee time, no problem to go out slightly later. Definitely recommend
Lovely course
Only thing letting it down at moment is the greens , think they have a decease, new robot mowers are great , really enjoyed the round .
Good course. Shame about the greens.
Really enjoyed my round on the Manor Course. Overall the course is in good condition, the layout is interesting and the pace of play was good. The only let down is the quality of the greens, loads of chunks missing and inconsistency. Can’t rely on your line when putting.
Great VFM
Despite 3 shortened holes, reflected in the price, our 4 ball still enjoyed a very good round. Considering the time of year and how much rainfall the course played well and will entice us back to play again in the summer😊👍
