Smashing hidden gem
Really enjoyed this course shots had to be thought about not just drive drive drive bit ball placement was must important for approach shots to greens .
Staff friendly members to try it out well worth the money
Great value for money
Course in general is in great condition.
Greens are well cut and true and very receptive.
Members very friendly. Just a shame kitchen wasn’t open as we were eager for the ubiquitous bacon butty.
Coffee machine perfectly adequate.
Brilliant course.
Love this place, great course, always in good condition, good variation in holes and very friendly members and staff.
Great Course
Really enjoyed our round of golf at breightmet today fairways and greens in excellent condition, challenging course especially the back nine. Very friendly staff and had a lovely lunch after our round. Will be back again during the next couple of months. Thanks again.
Great course
Played on a hot sunny day, the ball ran and ran. Some greens with sprinklers on due to extremely hot spell of weather but easily disabled when on green. Very friendly members and staff, highly recommended.
Great round of golf
Course in very nice condition, greens were excellent. A little bit on the hilly side for my liking as it makes some of the holes feel like a slog virtually no flat holes whatsoever. Enjoyable round though and I would play it again. Members and staff were very welcoming. Recommended.
Great course !
Great golf course , nicely undulating with some really interesting holes . Course in good condition although obviously could do with some rain ..... but then where couldn't !!!
Great value for money and made to feel very welcome .
Will definitely play again.
Top course
Excellent , challenging , very well maintained , greens were also excellent
Great condition
Course was in great condition. Members friendly and nice to see a work party out in the evening looking after course filling divots. Absolute bargain and a great course.
Enjoyable Round
First time playing here and will come again. Excellent value and the course in good condition. A fair test of golf for all handicaps. Pace of play a little slow as we behind 3 x 4 balls but the weather was fine and not at work so no problem. Signage to a couple of homes could be better particularly 8th to 9th but I'm being picky. Give Breightmet a try, you won't be disappointed.
First time visit to breightmet Golf Club
First time myself and two close friends have played this course.Received a very warm welcome on arrival.Everyone very friendly, and helpful.Weather was great for a change, and the course was in a great condition.I can only see it becoming even better as spring, and summer moves on.As for the golf, well this course offers a real challenge. It's not about hit and hope. You really need distance control, and good course management to tackle this course .The greens are well kept ,and really make you think about your putting..A really enjoyable experience, and excellent value for money.Tony,Mark, and myself all said we will go back again,One other thing, the course plays pretty long,,with a few good uphill slopes ,but what a way to keep fit..Bring it on.
Breightmet Golf Course
Have played this course a few times. Staff and members always very friendly and ready to wave a single player through. A challenging, but very well maintained course. Hilly with some deep gullies as traps for the unwary but a very enjoyable game.
breightmet in may
putting not easy they had just put some feed on greens but overall enjoyed the day 9/10
Challenging course in excellent condition
Played 30th may 2017 in glorious sunshine, a challenging course with lots of undulations and testing greens, set in a fantastic setting. The course was in superb condition, rivalling our visits to Marbella courses, but instead of £80 each, it was only £10. The staff and other club members were friendly and engaging, providing an excellent round of golf for our party before we set of for our societies' Welsh championship in two days time at Rhos on sea, thank you.
Pleasant Course
We found the course quite forgiving, greens in excellent condition. We enjoyed ourselves, but they was no wow factor to cause us to rush back
Good test , tough course
Very friendly club testing course. Very tricky greens hard to read but good surfaces, well worth a visit and nice views too
Bolton's best kept secret
I've lived just a few miles from this course for the last 20 years and never heard much about it. When it showed up on teetimes.co.uk for £9 + booking fee for 18 holes i thought what have i got to lose.
On arrival the members, staff and pro couldn't have been friendlier. The pro shop was well stocked and the course looked in great condition.
The course isn't super long but what it lacks in length it makes up in layout. You really have to plot your way round the front 9 before the longer holes really challenge on the back 9.
The course was in incredible condition considering it's October, the greens some of the best i've played at this time of year. The pace of play was suprisingly good considering quite a few four balls went out right before us. The little touches - yardage markers, ball cleaners, hole maps on every tee and tee box markers were all pristine and i even got a fantastic course guide from the pro shop for just £2.50
One word of warning, it isn't an easy walk and a buggy might have helped. I didn't see any available but that's not surprising given the time of year.
I have nothing but good things to say about this course. It's been on my doorstep all this time, i'm glad i got the opportunity to give it a try and will definitely return.
At £9 + £1 booking fee, it's an absolute steal. Clearly the management team need to do a better job at marketing this hidden gem.
Nice course
Played this course on a Monday, very quiet, at times had course to myself. Friendly welcome in pro shop but clubhouse closed Mondays. Course in reasonable condition, greens were being spiked but did not alter the roll too much. Course layout okay, good signage to next holes. Handy hole planner on board at each tee. Some gentle hills to negotiate but certainly not a hard walk around. Great value for money, well worth a round if not played there before.
