Close House Estate - Filly Course

Close House is an excellent venue for the visiting golfer, staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the course was in in excellent condition, greens particularly good. If you’re in the area this is a must.

Played the old course.. two guys i played with had won a ticket for two ball at the pro am, I contacted Close House explained that i wanted to join the two ball.. they insisted i had to pay £50.00 even though i said i could get it for £25.00 off Tee Off Times - they said just get it from Tee Off - quite disappointed with their attitude over the phone. Although the course was good , waiting around to take our shots was frustrating as there were two 4 balls in front of us (visitors to the area). Greens very fast and challenging and fairways in good condition. Overall enjoyed our day and would play again at Tee Off prices. Overall i would have given an excellent had it not been for the attitude of the staff over the phone.

Windy, warm & Sunny, love the course changes and this is the 2nd time I've played it since. My golf partners first time, he loved the course but struggled on the day, which did not curb his impression of the course. Amenities are top notch and reasonably priced considering the high profile the course has achieved. Staff are all friendly and professional.

Great day on a great course at a great price. Everything was 100% and the course was in top condition even though some greens were being hollow tined.

Absolutely fantastic coarse championship greens all staff acknowledge you on the coarse really the best coarse in the north of England

3 of us played the filly course at close house, the staff in the pro shop couldn't have been more accommodating and at £25 each it was a real bargain, well worth a visit. The course isn't the longest but there are lots of intresting holes that require accuracy. We really enjoyed the course and the food in the clubhouse after was great too.

Played a 3 ball for £25 a person and thought it was well worth that. Interesting course with impeccable greens, challenging features and a top notch beef sarnie in the club house.

Good but fair test for all golfers no matter what your handicap.

Booked on Friday after enquiring if winter greens maybe on due to possible frost. Pro advised they hadn't even been cut yet. Turned up Saturday checked in by same Pro got to the tee, winter greens!! Went back into the shop the Pro wasn't aware they were on winter greens. To get refund I had to contact Tee off Times and for them to get in touch with them. This is at 12:20 and after traveling and limited daylight we had no option to play on winter greens for £30!!
