Great course in fantastic condition, highly recommended

Had a great time playing tyneside. The greens are always impeccable but the fairways weren't in the best condition, which is a shame because theyre usually excellent.

Staff were great, and I didn't have much trouble with pace of play although I was a single, so the big groups let me through without issue.

Lovely course, lots of variation in the hole layouts. A number of challenging holes and unknown drives for first timers. Great conditioned greens and very nice staff at the pro shop and clubhouse. Be prepared for up and down hills. Would definitely recommend.

Course was in great condition, and some challenging holes with bunkers strategically placed. Really enjoyed the round, it was slightly slow, but with quite a few four balls Infront of me, was to be expected.

Our first visit to Tyneside we had heard a lot of good reports about this course and it didn't let us down the course was in excellent condition and the holes were varied and interesting we all enjoyed the whole experience and will be looking to book again very soon

Played it for the 1st time today,course in excellent condition, the greens were consistent very true and reasonably quick, would definitely recommend it ,good challenge for all handicaps

Played here for the first time. Everything was superb - the staff, the condition of the course and even the weather. Will definitely be coming back.

We were back at TGC for the first time in over 10 years due to tee times usually being unavailable to suit our schedule - we enjoyed the game but it wasn't easy - the course is quite challenging due to the combination of some quite steep hills, some blind shots / tight approaches, numerous bunkers and quick greens which makes playing to par tough on quite a few holes. Rating would have been 5 stars but noisy mid-day grass cutting was ongoing and lots of fairway divot holes hadn't been repaired both of which frustrated play for us. The course would probably benefit greatly from a better and more thorough early morning / late evening maintenance regime. Note that the club house is currently undergoing refurbishment hence all facilities aren't currently available - disappointing to see that the building has been repainted in generic grey which seems out of place given the rural location.

Fantastic golf course, with a lot of different holes but all very well presented. Green were super and general course conditions in fantastic order. Definitely be back to play a few more rounds throughout the season!

Greens were best I’ve played this year considering the weather we’ve had

On arrival we got a great welcome at the proshop, very friendly and helpful. My husband had played before many years ago and liked it so we decided to play it together. It is a super course, really testing and in really good condition. We both struggled a bit with the inclines and playing the ball above/below our feet but we did enjoy it. I found the carry from the tee, long rough and general set up really testing and if honest too much for me. As a woman in her 60's I hit a straight ball but not long distance and I was very tired in the winter conditions and not a little demoralised by the end of the round. From a female perspective I think it would best suit ladies who can hit a long ball and who are used to playing on inclines.

Having said that it is a super course and in great condition for the time of year. Clubhouse was coded entry which we weren't told so couldn't enjoy a drink/sandwich after our game or use the loo. Shame.

Quality course with a good mixture of holes for all abilities, and is certainly well maintained, even in November. Clubhouse is great and the members are very friendly .

First time playing here and despite it being the end of October, the course is in great condition with only just a few winter tee boxes - everything else is how you would fine on a good summers day. Warm welcome from the pro shop, despite me coming through GolfNow, and even gave me some tips around the course. Pace of play was a bit slow but three great guys in front me, who I’ve never met before, asked if I wanted to play with them as I was a 1-ball to ensure I wasn’t waiting around too long. Friendliest course I’ve been to in a long time and will definitely come back!
