Darwen Golf Club

Excellent views and the course was in great condition with some very tricky greens, all in all a great round of golf with friendly staff and green keepers.

Course was in good condition but every hole was hilly and by the time we were on the 15th we’d had enough. Greens in very good condition. Round was ruined at the end by my mate j Wormwell who over hit his 7 iron into the members enclosure and prevented us from having a pint after the round. Overall it was decent but wouldn’t rush to play the course again.

The course was in really good condition, but given its very hilly geography it’s energy sapping on a hot day. One hill after another so not good for any one with medical conditions. Some of the layout isn’t obvious where you go next or where you need to hit your shot.

Unfortunately it has a 18th green in front of the club house so you can hear the members passing comment. I didn’t bother putting out

Would recommend this worth a visit. Staff and members make you so welcome.

Great course, really well kept. It will test your fitness... alot. Every hope seems to be uphill.

Can’t fault the course , the greens were bobbly so putting was difficult , we had a scratch handicap player who couldn’t make a birdy. Tough course , quite hilly but decent. Pro none too friendly and clowns on 18th messing around drunk why we played the hole was none too impressive, same as the drunken fools eyeballing us as we came off but a good track we thought

Course tough but enjoyable. Slight issue with signs for next tees and went astray on the 11th despite being warned. Everyone was friendly, in fact the friendliest course I’ve played..

I will play again

Superb day out at DGC - course is top notch and in outstanding condition. Great mix of holes and greens were very good.

Started off with a friendly pro who took the time to give us some guidance on certain holes as we hadn’t played here before. Even the members would give a bit of advice on some of the blind shots. Some fantastic holes. Very fortunate to catch Darwen on a warm day with Zero wind!

Had a fantastic day & around in 3hr 40min.

I really enjoyed my round here. All holes present a different challenge. A true golfers course up in the hills. You should defo give here a try.

Nice course, greens in good condition and a few nice par 3s. This is by far the hilliest course I have ever played and I was suffering. I recommend a buggy or at least an electric trolly.

We played a fourball, the pace was good, no hold ups. Greens in excellent condition. It was a dry day with a cold wind. I think it will be lovely when we return in the summer. A hilly but well laid out course, not for lovers of flat courses
