Best in the north west
A must play seriously the best course in the north west
Fantastic golf course
I play a lot of courses in the north west but Davyhulme golf course is simply the best of them all
I found the course was in great condition, good layout and it was nice and peaceful.
Great course
Nice course with plenty of variety. Dog legs both ways. Nice greens. Will be back
Rude members
Pace of play was painful due to a bug society. 6 winter greens. Members rude and interfering in our round.
Fantastic course
Played many times and will continue to play this fantastic course, considering all the rain we have had recently only two winter greens and the fairways where spot on , and only 15 pound on a Monday can’t be beaten for value and quality
Hidden Gem
A course only 15 minutes away , I never knew was there a really lovely park land course not too long very flat but some challenges on the holes. Some greens in need of work but overall I would give it a 8.5-9/10 lovely club house with great welcoming staff
Great course
First time playing here despite living a mile away - Usually play at Flixton. Course is great, real variety of challenges. Really looking forward to playing again
Only let down by its customers
Pro was brilliant upon arrival, very friendly and accommodating. Course in great condition and east to follow without a map on the scorecard. Some greens not in amazing condition but on the whole very good all round.
Only downside was the pace of play and etiquette of the groups in front - pitch marks unrepaired etc, the usual.
Will definitely be back, a lovely course.
Top course
Very good course, excellent layout, if you drive the ball well you can score otherwise you are in the trees, as it should be, highly recommended
Impressive course and setup
Very neat course, in great condition, some picturesque and tight holes. Not overly long, uses the space well and greens in great condition
Temporary greens
Seems like a good course but lots of temporary greens currently. This I think should be made clear on golf now.
Some good par 5s and friendly atmosphere.
Davyhulme golf course
Simply the best course in my area value for money course is always in mint condition and the pro and his staff are great from the minute you get there would highly recommend this course to all golfers
Good course and decent for time of year
Hadn't played Davyhulme for a few years so thought we'd go for a post Christmas round on a day it wasn't raining!
Given the recent weather and rain of the last 2-3 weeks, it was in good condition - on full greens, which were running okay, and playing off most tees, albeit with the mat sunk into the ground. So that was a positive for 27th December.
The course layout is good and I like the mixture of holes that Davyhulme gives you. The pro was welcoming and helpful. although the clubhouse wasn't open for a drink afterwards which was a shame, but it was a bank holiday so maybe not a surprise.
Only downside was getting stuck behind a 4 ball from about the 6th hole who didn't seem to want to call us through, and a couple of loose shots from behind us that probably warranted a fore shout but no harm done.
Overall, a very enjoyable round (playing well helped!) and worth £20. Would certainly go back again when more in the golfing season.
Toby
Tight course with a lot of dog legs. Some interesting holes, 4/5 holes are almost identical
