Donnington Grove Country Club

Round of golf about 4 hours 45. Long long walks a couple of times between holes. Ok if you are in a buggy. Greens were excellent. Enjoyable afternoon but slow old round of golf

Long tough course, with bunkers designed to catch any inaccurate shots into the greens. But very well managed with greens and fairways in excellent condition.

Last second booking the night before. Man I am so happy I booked it. The layout is long, let that be a warning! Worth every step.

The course plays difficult with some well cut rough and course design. It definitely tests your metal. Loved every moment out there. Get to hit it long. Lots of wedge opportunities. It had it all. Greens were so good.

Seriously; the walk between some holes is ridiculous.

Clubhouse was messy on the patio literally every table was messy. The bartend was keen to tell me he was soon off but other person was late. Shame really, place is a jewel. Had the club, it was alright. 2 pieces of bread.. lol. Whatever. That’s me being picky. Fries were undercooked though.

Beer was cold and tasty

Always a tough challenge !

Course in good condition , only thing that slightly let it down on the fay were the greens wgich made them slower than usual and slighly unpredictable at times ,

Would definitely return and look forward to tryi g to break 80 on a real challenging course

Great layout in pretty good condition. Faiways very firm but greens in good condition.

Afternoon spoiled by an incredibly slow round of golf with no marshalling in evidence.

We really enjoyed our round on a beautiful summers day for golf. The course is exceptionally well laid out and includes stunning views of Donnington Castle and surrounding countryside. Great value at £30 each. We will be back.

Wind certainly made a tough course even harder than it should have been!!

Great course in good condition and pleasure to play. Fantastic value for money.

Another great day on a pristine well maintained course.

Last played this course when it was named Parasampia. The layout is interesting with great features and inviting fairways. Decided to walk with bag and trolley 😩, be warned it’s a long course. However I thoroughly enjoyed every fairway and green. Great facilities including a treat halfway house. All in all a great day on a great course with friendly players and course staff. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

if you are a player who prefers to pay and play courses, and you dont mind travelling, Donnington Grove was definitely worth the 1hr 20mins to get there.

A Championship course which if you could keep your ball on the fairway, the reward would follow. A course of 2 9 holes, front 9 (ironically my garmin 6 sat nav had this as the back 9, then back 9 being my 1-9), was more open, back 9 more trees and out of bound markers along more of the holes.

I would definitely play again, but maybe a buggie next time, as the yellows measuring 6500 + meant I have had a good nights sleep that evening !.

Greens of US size, bunkers deep and of course in places where you always hit, good fairways with a first cut allowing a shot and not the usual buried ball you get on some courses.

Lovely sunny day. Course was great despite recent rain pace of play was fine. Nice painted lager on the patio. Couldn’t fault it love the place.
