Beautiful course, but long

The course was in great condition, but it was slow going, not helped by the hot conditions

Slow slow slow!!! cheese and onion pasty sold as meat!

After arriving at donnington groves country estate with high hopes of a great day out we where greated with a disappointing pro shop and a difficult to navigate course

with little information as to where tees are and long walks between some tees i would highly recommend a buggy, this definitely felt like more of a golf hotel than a golf club

the pace of play on the day was atrocious with tee times being far to close together

we managed to reach the “halfway house” after 2 and a half hours to be duped into buying a cheese and onion pasty labelled as cornish!!! thank heavens i’m not lactose intolerant

after leaving the dingy half way hut with a couple cans of carling and my cheesy monstrosity we ventured on a half mile journey to the back nine where play was even slower,

to be fair to the venue it was a lovely course mainly let down by poor signage and poor facilities.

i would visit again but only in the week and only with a buggy

All round good course

Me and a friend really enjoyed this course, we decided to walk and even though it was a long one, we enjoyed every minute of it. The only thing I can ask for is more par 3s but that is just a personal preference.

Great course in the Berkshire area

The day I played this course was started with torrential rain and heavy wind by the time we teed off the rain had stopped and the course was in great condition under the circumstances. The greens were immaculate and ran true. I didn't have any clubs and shared my friends as all the hire clubs were already out(if you are wanting to hire perhaps ring ahead). The pro shop staff were very helpful and even let me borrow an umbrella. The front eight are quite hilly and technical and the back nine is a more parkland layout. Myself and playing partner really enjoyed this course but I would recommend a buggy if you find walking a regular course tiring. The walks between some of the hole are sizeable.

You'll need a buggie

A decent course but a very long course. Ridiculous amount of walking between some holes. Would play again, but will difentely book a buggie.
