The Quarry Golf Course
About
The land that now provides a home to Quarry Golf Course was formerly the abandoned Alamo Cement plant. Keith Foster converted this unique location into a challenging layout with a links-style front nine and a back nine that plays entirely through an abandoned rock quarry with walls over a 100 feet tall on three sides. The first half of the golf course features plays through open fields of rolling hills with native grasses and a near absence of trees. Creeks and streams come into play on six holes of the front nine. The quarry pit on the back nine is truly the most unique feature on the golf course. Quarry Golf Course's most dramatic hole is the 17th, which requires a tee shot over a deep ravine that is framed by a 40-foot waterfall.

Terrible Cart Restrictions
I’ve played gold 55 years. I have never been more aggravated by cart restrictions than this place. I don’t need to be told where to drive, I would never play this course again. EVER!
Great experience
First time here, teed off literally at first light. Actually warmed up at the range in the dark. Course is not long, but very well laid out. Interesting, hazards appropriately situated to encourage strategic play. Course is in great shape. The back nine in the Quarry is very interesting. Staff super friendly. The day we were there they were prepping for a very large tournament in the afternoon, but we were never impacted or felt in the way. Definitely will return
Quarry was very adventurous
Had the opportunity to play this unique use of property around a quarry in San Antonio while traveling through. Had a very favorable Golfnow fee, not so sure I would have paid the face value. I was paired with three locals who we became very well accustomed to each other by the end of the round. Course was in great shape. Took a little getting use to the greens being a bent grass player typically. Not use to having to hit the ball on the green as opposed to rolling it.. the course was in great shape. All the traps were immaculate....lately I have played courses that don’t look after their traps at all. Great adventure and thoroughly enjoyed the experience....
Phenomenal golf
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this course. Two different 9 holes. Quarry back nine was stunning. FYI,, IF you play this course, highly recommend drinks/dinner at nearby Piatti Italian restaurant.
Beautiful and fun course!!
This course has something for every level of golfer. Playing inside of an old rock quarry provides some amazing views and tee shots. I would recommend this golf course as one of the top golf courses to play in San Antonio.
Great place
Replaced play golf if you’re ever in San Antonio prices little pricey, but the staff people were very nice and very courteous what play it again
The Quarry
The course is in great shape from tee to green. The greens are in unbelievably great shape for this time of year! The heat can be a bit much when playing this time of year so stay hydrated.
Beautiful South Texas course
This course has yet to let me down. It’s beautiful and plays very pure. It gets pretty hot in the quarry however the staff brings around cold towels and make sure you have drinks. Great place to play!
Wonderful challenging course.
Love playing The Quarry even in the crazy Texas heat. They play the back 9 first in the summer because of the heat down in the quarry. I would much prefer to play the front 9 first, need to warm up for the more difficult back 9. Play it, you won’t regret it!
