Owston Hall Golf Resort

Greens are in good condition but they are a little soft and bite well, even for this warm dry May period. The club shop is welcoming and allowed us to start a little earlier as no one had been through for a while. There are a few little nice walks between the trees on some holes and overall you do feel you're on a large private estate. Some of the water features are quite interesting, and there are a few opportunities to win a few grand for a hole in one on a few of the Par 3s. Worth ticking off for any golf tourer.

We played 7th May at 1:30 and there were very few players on the course. The course was in good condition, greens were good and I expect by Summer they will be very quick. Rough was long off the fairway and you needed to stay on the fairway, tees were ok but could be better with some more work. We enjoyed the day and will be back.

A lovely course no hills to worry about the greens and fairways were in excellent condition.

really nice layout and flat too so easy walk, really well kept greens and fairways not long holes either which helps so a nice easy round in good condition... golfnow hotdeals worth it but not the standard rate of weekday and weekend rates, wouldve been a quicker round if not for the usual inconsiderates group of 2 or 3 and dont let play through on own so a 2 hour or so round ends up nearly over 3 hours but thats the individuals what can let it down not course itself... nice flat and good condition for the price was worth it but not the full rate without golfnow

I found the staff really friendly and helpful. The course was in good condition. All courses have suffered this summer with lack of water but they managed to keep the greens in nice condition. Would definitely play there again

Not played here for about 12 months but you can see that improvements have been made, tee boxes and greens are in great condition considering the recent dry spell we have had but overall a very nice course.

Couple of greens had water on surface but didn’t interfere with putting .

Great value for the condition of the course especially the greens. Friendly welcome and a super location to have a drink after a round.

nice flat course perfect for me shame its not closer, well kept and some easier holes due to its flat course layout

not worth the £40 usual fees when thornhurst manor is a stones throw away and £10 on tuesdays and thursdays similar course being flat and layout so for the price thornhurst wins shame owston dont do something similar as would be able to choose between the two as both are suitable for me but at the price it pushes me away

This is a tough course but in lovely condition.super greens and fairways.But the rough is thick and trees are placed in horrible places on most holes it's hard enough hitting fairways without a massive oak tree 🌳 in the way.Got the round for 19 quid so can't grumble and it's set in beautiful grounds well worth it for price.
