Proper Links Test

I loved this course. A proper links test in amongst the dunes.

Mother nature had conspired to close one hole due to 30 plus hours of continuous rain up until my tee. Was hence offered a further discount on my booking which amounted to 3 bars of chocolate 👍

All bunkers were full of water so hence GUR and there was plenty of lying water.

But despite the weather prior to my round the course was in very good condition and was an absolute delight to play, awesome greens with proper run offs if you don't get it quite right.

Loved it!

Great Course

Great course in excellent condition, just disappointing that the bar shut at 6pm and we couldn’t get a drink on a warm summer evening.

Excellent Course

A truly fantastic course, very well laid out with good signage. The greens particularly and course in general are excellent and a credit to the green keeping team. Food and hospitality are also very good. The course has spectacular views over Embleton bay and with castle backdrop for the signature hole it is just superb

Great Links Course

Played this course while on a family holiday to Northumberland, while my wife and kids went on the beach and walked along the coast path to the castle. It’s a brilliant course, well maintained with some stunning views especially off the 13th tee with the castle just behind the green creating a very impressive backdrop. Definitely worth playing a round if you’re in the area.

Excellent links course

Course in very good condition considering the recent bad weather in the area. Greens were in excellent condition and staff couldn’t have been more friendly

Definitely Recommend this course to golfers of all abilities. The par 3 with the backdrop of Dunstanburgh Castle has to be one ne of the best views in golf.

A word of advice the edges of the course are used by walkers/ramblers so patience is needed if they don’t realise golf balls are flying around them

Fabulous

Wonderful course in excellent condition. The location is spot on with spectacular views. Not a long course but don't be fooled by that, most holes offer a fair test of.

Don't always reach for the driver, plays like a true links course, tricky and true grees. Nice little club house with friendly staff. Will definitely try to play it again before I return to dubai.

Amazing Views

Played April 8th, course in general was in fantastic condition. Great views at 11th green and 13th tee, the area at the 7th tee and 18th green was really badly flooded due to the tide. Players with trolleys were struggling to get to the 18th green. Seen players removing their shoes to get through the water. We played after 2pm and was £27 per round which was fantastic value. Would definitely play again. Greens were a credit to the greenkeepers brilliant condition.

Return to golf!

Played Dunstanburgh at short notice to finally get a game, as most courses in local area playing reduced holes and still soaking. It was a joy to play on dry grass with course in great condition for this time of year. Greens were quick, but true, given that its still February, and the weather was breezy (as usual up there) but stayed dry. Fantastic day out, bar staff very friendly too serving good food. Most enjoyable, bargain at £20!

Outstanding course with friendly members

Had a lovely day out at Dunstanburgh, course was in fantastic condition considering the atrocious weather we’ve had recently, plated as a one ball until I caught a friendly group of members who asked me to join them. Nice day rewarded with a good score and great experience.

Great greens for this time of year.

As most courses are closed to rain it’s always good to rely on Dunstanburgh being open. Three holes closed but that’s to be expected. Great deals if you go direct to course to book. We paid £28 via Golf Now and you could get much cheaper booking the day before or have winter warmer deals with food thrown in for a similar price to what you pay via golf now. Can only imagine how slick the greens would be in the summer.

Boxing Day 2023

Great course. Some of the tee boxes have amazing views that just want to make you swing away, but be careful because the rough eats balls up.

This was my second time here I was playing alone and enjoyed a good Boxing Day out in the fresh air.

The first time was with a big group and just after we had a big rain storm and it seemed like every course was closed apart from here. This place held the water really well and the ground was firm in most parts.

Excellent course I will definitely be back.
