Great course and Value

We all really enjoyed the course, had a nice welcome in the bar on arrival. It’s an interesting course with some by the coast and some holes inland over the road. It was in great condition and the greens played well. The first few holes are a bit tight with fairways close together but it easier off as we got further in. Certainly some challenging holes and great fun. We just wish the weather held up for the back 9, we got very wet 😂

Great value Links course

Unbelievable little course this, especially for the price and considering the £85 per round bamburgh castle is only a few miles up the road! Some Unbelievable par 3's over and along cliff sides overlooking the north sea. I said little course as well as its only a par 68 with only one par 5 but that takes nothing away from the course! Great value especially if you play after 3pm where it is only £20. Only down side for me is the occasional shared fairways which slows pave down a touch but apart from that I would highly reccomend this links course!

Wonderful Day at Seahouses Golf Club

Played Seahouses on the 13/8/2023. The welcome from the clubhouse staff was very friendly and they were so helpful. The course itself played really well and the greens were absolutely fantastic and so true. Although not the longest course on the Northumberland coast, it still a very tricky test of golf, especially if the elements are against you. The par 3 10th and 15th are the two iconic holes of the course. Select your club of choice wisely, or you could end up in the drink on both holes.

We had an awesome days golf at Seahouses, the course is first class if a little bit quirky in places. The clubhouse staff were very accommodating, polite and welcoming. The end of pint “Madri” was a welcome relief and enjoyed fully on the vast sun-drenched veranda that looks out across the whole of the course.

Stunning scenery

Played pm as a 3 ball. Course was well maintained , particularly the greens which seemed very true. No real segregation between several fairways so at the last hole we had to wait for players playing 9th as the fairway was shared.

The same was true of the fourth and seventh where you are driving from tee boxes 20 metres apart towards greens maybe 30 metres apart but the holes effectively cross each other. I imagine members are used to it as you effectively mix groups playing different holes.. The back 9 has stunning views but you need to be wary of walkers and two par 3s which you need a strong nerve for given one crosses a large water hazard and the other is over a deserted beach.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing the Course and would happily play again

Seahouses golf course

Clubhouse and staff very friendly and helpful. The front 9 is ok but the back nine has some interesting holes and stunning views of the farne islands and beadnell. There are two public footpaths that cut across the back 9, which depending on your ability might unnerve you if they are walking in

your shot ranges.

Very nice couple of pints sitting looking out over the 9th and 18th. Will play it again when I back up in the area.

Hidden gem

Fantastic hidden gem of a course. Unbelievable value for money. Stunning scenery and excellent condition. We played based on a recommendation and so glad we did. Stopped on our way to Scotland and it was my sons first experience on a links course. The back 9 especially offers some beautiful views with some tricky holes. Highly recommend a round here!

Unhelpful and unwelcoming starter, course layout not very good.

Was really looking forward to playing this course. Disappointed from the start. Booked via Golfnow. The man behind the bar were you book in was unwelcoming and unhelpful once I said booked a round, he asked how, I said online with Golfnow. He checked his computer and said ok, right off you go then. Excuse me could you provide a score card? Could you point me in the direction of the first tee please? (not clearly obvious where to locate it without direction). It round the back of the clubhouse was the reply. The man clearly requires some training in hosting visitors to his club. Anyway put this behind us and off we went. The course was quite busy and the layout does not help. Number 2 and 17 are on same fairway. Some what busy and waiting for who goes next. 4 and 7 basically same fairway and to couple this tee off to green cross over each other. Number 6 tee par 3, over green from number 5. Then 9 and 18 tee boxes next to each other and on same fairway. Then to back 9 with walkers and dogs everywhere. Club house had bar and food and would have had a drink and meal if made to feel welcome. Would not play again not worth the £35 each a round. Ps. Bring a tin hat as golf balls flying everywhere.

Great Links Course

Fantastic links course with some amazing par 3s over the cliffs. It can be a little challenging working out where you’re aiming as some holes share the same fairways

Dangerous

For the first few holes I felt like I was under attack with golf balls flying in all directions. I’ve never heard fore called out so often, it was constant. The front 9 is fairly boring to play, most of the holes are straight with little risk other than other golfers. The back 9 had much better challenges with holes 10 15 & 16 the best. An old player who dogged most of my round was playing as many as 6 tee shots at a time for ‘practice’ really distracted me on a few occasions playing directly across my line and even walking in front of me as I lined up shots forcing me to step away and wait. I’d like to play this close again but I’ll wait till winter when hopefully it’s a bit quieter.

Always enjoy playing this course. Course in great condition. With some fun Par 3’s. .

The main feature of the course is it’s the back 9 with the stunning coastline as a backdrop.
