Forest of Galtres Golf Club

Enjoyed our round here, the greens were true but maybe a little slow but overall course was in good condition. Play was a little slow as there were a few groups of what looked like new golfers who didn’t seem aware of the need to let us through. Can’t hold this against the course.

Not the best stocked pro shop but the pro and the lady behind the bar couldn’t be friendlier and were very accommodating.

Will play again

Course was in very good condition. Hard fast greens after days of no rain. Recommend.

Really enjoyed the round I played here very scenic and the course is well thought out. With a few tricky tee shots. There was a hole on the back nine that had a little issue on the grass but other than that it was spotless. Highly recommendable and playing again today.

1st time I've broke hundred with a 98. And could of done better, nice relaxing game, not rushed with people not waiting.. both of us enjoyed the day and will be back to play again..

A good course, well set out and in great condition. A bit smushy around some holes but I think a lot of places are this year. Got held up by some really slow play, but maybe unlucky on us, I would still recommend this course, it has some really beautiful holes and is nice to play.

All 18 holes were on temporary greens. To be fair the staff offered to move the booking but we decided to go ahead anyway which was our decision. I wouldn't make the same decision again as the temporary greens were virtually impossible to putt on. It is a nice long course and I wouldn't hesitate to play there again. Couldn't fault the staff and the facilities are nice

I think this course is under rated, course is well laid out and well looked after. Pace of play is great compared to many courses in the area.

Lovely open parkland course with a links feel. Greens in excellent condition despite the lack of rain. Only complaint is that there was not enough sand in the bunkers. I know because I felt the need to play out of them far too often!!!

Course layouts was quite good

Looks like a farmers fuels conversion in parts

Bunkers are very poor ( only went in one but playing partners were regular visitors )- they were great in colour for most part

Greens were true and in good order

Catering / bar was good

First time playing here and really enjoyed it.. well placed trees and bunkers to make it slightly difficult but still nice and open through the middle.

Great value for money & will definitely be returning again.
