Very good municipal course

I’m a new golfer and only played a handful of rounds so far. I have friends who are members and speak very highly of this course so I went for a solo round today.

The course is very well kept and great value @ £9 for 18 holes. Went mid-morning so it was relatively quiet and good for me as a solo, novice golfer. Greens and fairways all seemed to be in decent condition and quicker than expected considering the weather too. Will definitely be back hopefully get some evening 9 holes in during the summer months as the views are very good too.

Lovely course.

Lovely course with a variety of holes which keeps it interesting.

The course was very muddy at the time, but the greens were decent enough considering the time of year.

Have played in the dryer months in the past, and it's definitely worth playing.

Good day out

Good start to the day weather was fair. Greens a little slow. Not too boggy but soft on ground. Grounds need a little more attention but it's is winter. Would go again when weather get better.

Good bang for your buck

Great time playing the course to be honest, I got my first Eagle and it was my girlfriends first time playing 18 holes. Bunkers were basically non-existent with grass growing through them and a fair chunk of the course was muddy and bogged. But besides that we still had a good day out.

Winter golf 🤬🤬

Fantastic course played it in the summer and really enjoyed it , move forwards to winter and not so good the course it’s self is in ok condition for time of year but the winter tees are very small , on hills , and very muddy on the mats themselves shame really because there are some brilliant holes on this course.

Haigh Hall

Played HH on Monday 7/11/22.

Played several times this year, generally good course, but it now has had too much rain and the course is too boggy.

Also the greens were in pretty poor condition.

Adjacent cafe serves good coffee and food.
