Good day out
Good start to the day weather was fair. Greens a little slow. Not too boggy but soft on ground. Grounds need a little more attention but it's is winter. Would go again when weather get better.
Good bang for your buck
Great time playing the course to be honest, I got my first Eagle and it was my girlfriends first time playing 18 holes. Bunkers were basically non-existent with grass growing through them and a fair chunk of the course was muddy and bogged. But besides that we still had a good day out.
Winter golf
Other than being a bit boggy as you would expect forcthis time of year was a great round and enjoyable course
Good for December
The course was very muddy and at times boggy but it’s December. Some really lovely holes and only paid £15 so value for money. Will definitely go back in the summer
Winter golf 🤬🤬
Fantastic course played it in the summer and really enjoyed it , move forwards to winter and not so good the course it’s self is in ok condition for time of year but the winter tees are very small , on hills , and very muddy on the mats themselves shame really because there are some brilliant holes on this course.
Haigh Hall
Played HH on Monday 7/11/22.
Played several times this year, generally good course, but it now has had too much rain and the course is too boggy.
Also the greens were in pretty poor condition.
Adjacent cafe serves good coffee and food.
Better than I expected
After booking the course I discovered it was a council run course and admit I had some concern over how it would then be maintained and treated by irregular visitors. This was unfounded, it was in good condition despite the weather.
The course was wet in many places but this was to be expected this time of year in addition to the wet weather.
I thought it was a challenging course, that isn’t particularly long but with many dog legs and tricky bunkers. Generally well maintained but no practice facilities with the driving range having closed during COVID.
Great Natural layout, friendly staff, poor greens.
The layout at Haigh Hall is superb and would recommend anyone to play here. Only thing that let's it down is the greens. Staff were very attentive.
