Great round, great condition of the course too
Course was in great condition, staff where friendly. Wasn’t that busy considering it was a Saturday, no issues on the course
Public Course
Find it difficult to review really, we booked on the premise that this was a private course when in fact it is a public course.
Having said that, for a public course it is in very good condition, greens and tees were in good condition, fairway a bit bare in places but nothing too bad. Bunkers as you would expect from a public course had next to no sand in them but again they were not too bad.
If you are a serious golfer I would avoid this course, if you are a beginner or just starting to play golf then this is a good course for you to practice your game. For £15 a round its decent value for knock and a good walk,
Great course
Love playing this course, challenging holes from start to finish, something for every level of players
Best course for the money
What a place to play golf just everything about it was amazing course was in excellent condition and value for money you definitely will not be disappointed true gem this one and love playing here well maintained with lovely greens and fairways from liverpool so bit of a drive but well worth it 10/10
In very good condition considering the weather we’ve had it’s my local so I play a lot at haigh hall
Haigh Hall
We played Haigh Hall on Wednesday 3rd August.
Although the course was good and we enjoyed the game, there was a large event being held on this day at the venue. It took over an hour to get parked, we missed our original start time, and it took well over an hour to exit, we should have been told there was an event being held on this day.
Value for money and pleasant surprise!
Went to play 18 by myself today and was surprised how good this course was compared to the reviews I read before. Don’t be fooled, great course layout. Plenty of challenging holes. Really enjoyable. Helped that I got a birdie on the last hole too! :)
Ignore the negative comments
Me and my mate played haigh hall today for the first time I'm many years. I was a bit optimistic about booking it when I was reading through the reviews but am so glad I did. From the very first tee shot you are on your toes. The fairways where in brilliant condition and the greens has good as any other course around here. We found it a challenge with the narrow fairways and well placed bunkers but really enjoyed our experience. A 3 fold infront of us where a little slow but all in all a really enjoyable experience and for £20 on a Saturday you can't go wrong. Teed off at 11.12am and finished around 15.00pm. I would say to anyone reading the reviews to give it a go and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I cannot comment on the condition of the course In the wet weather as it was well over 25 degrees but wouldn't let it put you off. Well done wigan council and haigh hall for hosting such a nice course.
Excellent value for money
First time playing at Haigh Hall and I would definitely return. Quite a challenging course with tight fairways and small greens. I found it quite a funky layout which I really enjoyed playing.
