Challenging course with valleys and gullies not always visible when teeing off

Excellent course, lots of variety across the 18 holes and plenty of challenges. Played for the first time so it wasn’t always easy to know the right club on some holes, so looking forward to a return visit. Amazing views from the last few holes along the tops. One minor criticism on the layout where a few greens are close to the next tee, causing a delay here to allow group in front to move off before approaching. All round great value for money.

Course was in great condition. I'm only a novice golfer, so found this a challenging course to play, esp with the hilly features. You certainly need to be fit for this course, but you do get wonderful views! The groundsmen I encountered were all friendly and polite. The course was almost deserted when I played, which was a bonus for me. I struggled a little with locating some of the holes, but thats probably more to do with my inexperience. The 17th is a sight to behold. Perched on the edge of the cliff high above the hole it's probably one of the craziest holes I'll ever play.

Good course with great views! Very lucky to play on a day with amazing weather which always helps. Lovely hilly course with plenty to go at, punishing in the rough (as it should be) and the signature par 3 17th is a great hole! Very friendly members and the 19th hole was a cracker with good selection of beers on offer. My only criticism is the greens but I understand with no sprinkler system it’s an almost impossible task to manicure them, there were by all means playable. Would definitely recommend and the price we paid at £20 was excellent value for money!

What a corse

Paying £25 each to play on greens that were being aerated and full of sand was unacceptable. Really disappointed that no one contacted me prior, there should have been a discount.

Lovely friendly staff and setting for the golf course. We played to different greens a few times as it was unclear where to hit our balls. Very hilly course, you definitely need to be fit. Maybe electric trolleys would have been helpful. The greens were not playbable as they had just sanded them and the sand had not been brushed evenly. Lumps of sand impeded your putt nearly all the time. If that was my course, I would have refunded the green fee, if I had been the manager of the course. No information was given to us about the state of the greens.

Fun corse to play, plenty of verity up hill and down hill lies decent greens.

The young lad looked like an undernourished triathlon competitor but told me he once played a round with the local primary school year 4 girls and came 3rd ?

But try avoid the food as I ordered a BLT and to my amazement I was given a fish finger sandwich on white bread with no butter.

All in all I would highly recommend this place

Expect a tough walk, but it’s worth it. Superb greens and a very interesting layout that although at times feels a little gimmicky is never anything but fun to play. Overall conditioning was very impressive for a course under £30. Played many at double that price that wouldn’t get near it. We had strong winds which made the course really testing but still had a great round. Highly recommend.

Basically 8 holes of the 18 3 very violent lads shouting and they also removed the flags so we couldn’t see pin location I will be reaching out for further assistance beautiful course just ruined by horrible players in front

Dont know who's complaining about the greens they must be a professional golfer as course immaculate fairways great nick greens spot on and a great lay out always enjoy playing here especially in the sun

This is a great course when it’s in good condition but as of late that’s not very often.the course itself fairways and very good but the major let down is the greens for me they haven’t been in good condition for months now.very untrue running bobbling everywhere and very slow.ruins your round playing on such bad greens.hoping they improve soon

Course in general is nice but the tee boxes could be in better condition.the greens are terrible.probably the worst greens I’ve played on all year.heavy fluffy and not true running very bumpy.

5 par 3s the rest are decent par 4s

Hole 12&17 par 3 (yellows) is famously rewarding if you land on the green from 100ft above with fantastic views down the valley.

All in all a great experience will make you want to go again. Young Bar managers a decent lad with great banter, only down side is after a few pints he likes to tell people he would beat Rory Mcllroy around the course one handed.
