Hart Common Golf Club - Main Course

Played the course recently. After the amount of rain we have had the course was very wet. Was surprised we were not on winter mats. FairPlay to the greenkeepers keeping the course open.

Played this course before on a weekday and loved it. First time played on a weekend. Tee booked at 12:24 and took 5 hours to get around. Several tees had 2 groups before us waiting to tee off. Pace of play totally ruined what would have been a great day. Can not fault the course or the amenities.

Course in great condition considering alllllllll the rain we have had.

First time played here. Lovely course, greens in great condition. For a tenner in the afternoon probably the best value course played in a long time. Wind was a bit strong so made some of the holes really difficult, especially the 18th at 460 Yard par 4, if you get on the green in 2 in any conditions then fair play to you. As a 3 ball got round in less than 4 hours. Definitely be back for a round in the summer.

Being from the North West, Hart Common has the best reputations in the area with regards to course conditions and welcome. It’s a high standard, well kept course without the pretentiousness you might sometimes get from member-only courses. Considering it’s mid-February, the condition of the fairways and greens were brilliant and I really enjoyed by round.

As somebody who doesn’t have a club membership, Hart Common remains the #1 go-to for standards and affordability when playing in the North West.

Very impressed with the condition of the greens , fairways were a little boggy but with the Weather we have had it was better than expected

Will definitely play again when conditions improve

I was advised by a friend who played the course some years ago that it wasn't very good.

How wrong he was,really enjoyed our 18 holes.

I have been playing along time at a decent level,this is a very interesting layout.

Considering it was November the greens where very good as where the fairways.

I loved the undulating fairways and position of the greens.

I only went in 1 bunker which was your typical bunker in winter, hard and wet in places.

There is a driving range here if you need too warm up before playing.

We were welcomed by members and had a drink and sandwiches after the round.

Just 2 minor faults that we noticed and these didn't impact on our course enjoyment.

The carpark near the pro shop is very scruffy and untidy.

Also they could do with having easy access to a bathroom as we had great difficulty gaining access to the clubhouse.

Perhaps one close to the pro shop.

Would I play there again!.

Absolutely really enjoyed the course, if it wasn't 40 minutes drive I would consider asking for a membership

Felt like you were playing at a full golf complex. The main course is great with some good holes and some that are nice and easy to birdie. Layout was great and green condition was really good (tiny bit long but we played in late Oct). Sand quality was good and fairways were pretty standard. They also had a driving range, chipping/putting green, par 3 short course for wedge play. The clubhouse is small but had a warm welcoming vibe to it. Great lunch selection for half way as well. Definitely coming back here for the green fee price we paid.

First of.all let me start by saying the staff here are very friendly. I paid on GN last week for Sunday but for some reason GN defaulted to Friday so I have paid twice but only played once. I spoke to the gentleman at the booking office and he is doing all he can to see if I can be reimbursed or some deal made, which would be great but I wouldn’t expect anything but still knowing that the staff are doing their best is of great comfort. Secondly the course is tip top condition considering it rained all morning. Greens were lovely and fairways were nice. Well worth £25 for a weekend. Some great holes some very challenging like the 18th 445 par 4 uphill. Very tough. This course will challenge any player.

I’ve played here a few times now and I always enjoy it, I brought a friend with me this time that has only recently started playing golf and he really enjoyed playing and said he would definitely like to play here again.

Love playing Hart Common. Played here many times over the past 8/9 years. The natural layout is stunning, especially on the back 9, however I always find the staff to be quite arrogant, which is a shame.

We teed off before 9am, actually 15 minutes late as the tee was already running behind. It eventually took 4.5 hours to get round as a 2 ball on a Sunday morning.

Apart from the pace of play the course was a good challenge and in good condition given all the rain recently.
