Hexham Golf Club

Course was in great nick, for the time of year.

Greens rolled really well and only one winter green.

Staff all really friendly and pace of play was great.

After a great welcome in the pro shop, the course was in great condition. It was not busy when we played so was able to keep up a good pace. There was different challenges which made playing the course interesting.

The only very minor point was the lack of course map or “next hole” direction signs.

Would I play it again - most definitely

I played Hexham today for the first time and was really impressed. The course layout is excellent and the condition was fantastic for the time of year.

I played alone and each time I caught up with a group, they let me through with no hesitation, all the members I came across were very chatty and helpful.

I’ll definitely be back to play in the summer!

Lovely course, lots of mature trees, well laid out and challenging. Greens are huge and unbelievably fast in November. They ran so true, it was a pleasure to putt on them.

Played Hexhsm before and love the course, great condition and layout. Only negative was no food available in clubhouse.

For £35 a round, I feel the greens should be in a lot better condition.

My friend and me played the course for the first time,it is probably the nicest course I've played. It was in great condition. We loved the tree lined fairways but you have to keep out of them. We are coming back in a few weeks for our captains away day. This course is a must,highly recommend. 10/10 the best thing was it was very cheap to play.

Had a really good game with a challenging course where the challenges were interestingbut not overwhelming. We felt the crossover holes should have been better indicated. We were informed of the fact that we needed to cross the road at certain points but not about the crossover holes. The area in front of the clubhouse looked popular but we did not use the facilities on this occasion

Absolute brilliant testing course. Perfect condition considering the weather we have had hats off to the green keepers. Bargain at the price of £24.99 will most certainly be returning even if it is a 80mile round trip.

Really good course and unbelievably dry given the weather we’ve had. Greens were very sandy but just that time of year. Can’t wait to try this out in the summer.

For the time of year it was in great condition. Greens excellent for october .and all playing origional summer greens. Worth every penny .will be back soon.

Booked at very short notice so I was out in the middle of the Monthly Medal. That didn't make any difference though. No pressure from the group behind, nothing but smiles from fellow golfers.

Three ball in front asked if I would like to join with them.

Lovely layout, couple of blind tee shots, couple of blind shots to greens.

Course was in very good condition, greens firm and pretty fast.

Overall a great experience and if I get the chance to play the course again I will.

The course was in tremendous condition, the greens were probably the fastest inland greens I have played.

The layout was great and certainly quite a few unusual holes to play.

My one frustration, which the club can't be held responsible for, was the pairing behind me who were very impatient. They were ignorant about the fact there groups ahead of me and I was unable to go any quicker.

Still enjoyed my day though
