Played at 11.40 1st hole was still frozen and it only got worse , the rain started about 1pm and the course became extremely boggy , eventually became unplayable and we walked in after 13 holes.

Clubhouse was really nice and staff were friendly.

Was a great course for this time of year so can imagine in summer would be tremendous

Groundsmen do a fantastic job and golf shop staff were very helpful and knowledgeable

Open but very foggy. This was explained when I phoned. Fairway mats were compulsory and supplied. Overall pleased we got a game. It is more a summer course but I do believe they did well to even be open when all of Yorkshire was covered in fog and few clubs weee open. Well done all

1st time playing this course, I would expect in the heat of summer it's great, but we'd had rain the night before and in morning of day playing, I can honestly say that in the 40years I've been playing golf this is the most waterlogged course I've ever played, with the topography you'd expect the high spots to be dry and low spots hold water, but this place was ridiculously poor drainage, you were slipping walking on fairways, we pretty much stuck to cart paths like we were told, but unfortunately when you stepped out onto grass it was just mud, I'm assuming theirs a lot of clay substrate, it was pretty much unplayable. I've booked rounds before and had course ring us to cancel round with alot less rain than we had had, other than that the actual club house and facilities were spot on 1st class

The greens were in very good condition and receptive to a well hit approach shot. We found the staff very friendly indeed. Thank you we thoroughly enjoyed our round.

Played Hickleton golf course and what an amazing place with the elevated greens and tees makes for a really good round!

Course in great condition other than a few of the bunkers water logged. Good day out

Very fast greens, great course layout, great views, your golf game will be tested here .

What a course this is, I’ve lived close by for about 12 years and never played it, the course is in fabulous condition and the scenery is amazing, I would definitely recommend playing here but if it’s a warm day consider hiring a buggy, there’s some steep walking to be done. We will be back again soon.

I’ve played this course many times and always enjoy the challenge. It rewards you if you respect it but will bite back if you don’t

For the price we paid it was an absolute steal. The clubhouse staff and food was also excellent. Can’t wait to play there again

Didn't know what to expect but the course was great, really challenging in parts but maintained beautifully. We used a buggy to get round.

Local to me but only played it once before on a dull November day. For a May game after our poor weather it was great. A couple of shorter holes and very soft in places but the greens were great. Lightening quick but great.

Can't wait to play it on the summer!

Simply one of the best around. Despite winter conditions the course played very well - quick greens and a decent challenge. Unbeatable for value and quality.
