Golfer Reviews
pleasure to play
great course, fast, true greens, great staff, good old fashioned clubhouse and a pleasure to play from start to finish. . would recommend all day, everyday and twice on Sunday`s!
Lovely setting with the first few holes taking you up the river wyre.
Course was in good condition, although no rain in the past couple of days it was boggy in patches.
Greens were in very good condition. All in all, a nice golf club with exceptional views from the clubhouse looking over the first Tee, 18th green and the mouth of the river Wyre.
Early finish
Last minute booking and glad I picked Knott end … nice condition … some great views .. also some challenging holes … I scored lucky as there wasn’t many on the course .. defo be visiting again
Bunkers need some work .
The greens and fairways were were good , however not of the bunkers need some attention hardly any sand and full of stones .
Unfortunately we had four members four balls in front of us who were very slow .
Having said all that even though we had to wait a lot we enjoyed the course and our round of golf . Finishing off with a pint and a very nice sandwich served by vey pleasant staff .
golf by the sea.
Played here last Sunday managed to get a hot deal @ £14.99.
course and greens were in very good condition,
the only issue we had on the day was pace of play, Which made some of the waiting on tees interesting, due to there close nature to other tee or greens.
I personally was putting on a green with a tee close by and someone's drive flew past me,
Overall though the course is in very good condition, just picked a busy day.
Fantastic Course
Great to be out on a sunny afternoon on such a nice course. Especially after the prolonged winter.... Greens were in great condition as were the fairways. 5th time we have played here over the last few years and its defo one of our favourites.. Each hole has something a bit different and the views are fantastic.... Looking fowards to a swift return
Disappointed
I’ve played this course a few times as I live close
I’m a member at another course
Which is closed because or the weather
I had some friends up from London I thought we could play knott end as when I looked it said 18 holes 👍
When we got there the pro said only 15 holes open
Off Matts and place ball to the side of fairways
If I was told this I would of thought twice
The fact is we should of been told
Stunning Views
Really nice course and in good condition for time of year; bit boggy in parts of the rough.
15 holes open, but it reflects in the price.
Stunning view off some of the tees.
Greens running well.
Staff and members are friendly.
Will definitely go back to play in the summer.
Good for time of year
The course is in decent condition considering the last 4 months of rain.
Generally soft with a few wet areas.
Drives mostly did bounce as did approach shots.
Greens, again, decent considering the weather.
Average
A little disappointed at 3 holes being shut and thought there may of been a discount in some way
Lovely Course, well maintained
First time played, very little wind which helped my game with many holes being against the waters edge leading to the Irish Sea. Greens were very good and fairways well maintained. Shorter than many courses but with a windy day I would think it would be a different course to play than our day. Club house lovely and maintained its historical core. Food and drink responsibly priced.
Busy day but fantastic course
Arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon.
Was warned it was a bit slow on arrival and my tee time might be a little late.
Tee’d off bang on time but unfortunately there was a four ball in front of the 2 ball in front of me. One of the 4 ball wasn’t the best and was struggling to hit the ball, yet insisted on “reading” every putt and missed every putt.
A general lack of awareness from many on the course with holes sandwiched between each other often meant waiting as someone walked up the rough in between the hole they were playing and the hole you were playing meaning you couldn’t really tee off incase you pushed a shot and missed the fairway.
Those were the only negative points and wasn’t too bad considering how busy the course was.
The greens were in superb condition, probably the best I’ve ever played on. The course was immaculate with zero litter, plenty of bins and ball washes.
Fairly challenging with a couple of interesting par 3’s.
Definitely my fave course on the Fylde Coast.
Very nice course
Nice course in very good condition. Plenty of challenges but not too harsh. Pleasant staff
Great greens
Lovely to play knott end again. Views are stunning across the coast. The greens were in beautiful condition and lovely to putt on.
Knott End
Love the course, it’s not to long but it’s got you thinking of all your shots. The course is set out as good as any I’ve played on. The greens are some of the best I’ve played, true and perfect. The staff are so helpful and friendly.
For the price I payed I’ll keep going back and I recommend to everyone to give this little gem a go, you’ll not regret it
