Launceston Golf Club

Launceston golf course is always superb,absolutely love it.....just a shame the club house was closed after the round at approx 6.30pm as a pint and a snack would have been much appreciated.

First time we played this course and I have to say it was brilliant. The staff were friendly and let us know where everything was. The course is stunning and has nice wide fairways so is ideal for pretty much any standards. Some challenging holes there as well. Some quite hilly holes but then it is Cornwall so expect to be tired at the end. Greens were very good too. Had some very slow player's in front of us which slowed us and the group behind but you have to expect that on a Sunday. Highly recommend this to any golfer. Beautiful views too

The course was in really nice condition and the greens well kept. Some lovely elevated Tees to play off. Good pace of play with No buggies chasing you round. Will definitely play again.

18 holes of good golf in bright sunshine. Course looked immaculate, although on a few greens we noted remnants of previous spiking. This didn't seem to have a detrimental effct on putting accuracy though. This is a great course with a few challenges all the way round. We felt slightly under pressure to keep moving on the outward nine holes but we were left pretty much unhindered on the inward none. We will be back....

I am a 18-20 handicapper, not a big hitter, and find this course fabulous. I’ve never played it and found course/greens in anything other than good state. It isn’t long for those massive hitters, but is penal if your not accurate of the tee.

I only play 5to 6 times a year, and usually this course is 2-3 times of that season. It’s an hours drive from home in South Devon but well worth the extended drive time.👍

I currently play off 18.9 and had a great round apart from a 9 on the first hole and an 8 on the last! In between I was fortunate to average 4.35 per hole… Loved the variety of this course and the welcome from Matt and the team. I’ll be back.

A seriously underrated Cornish track, only played it a few times over the years but always a warm welcome and an enjoyable round. On this occasion, at a time when most golfers are opting for links golf (November), Launceston was exceptionally playable with all 18 greens in play and running well and only one temporary tee box - which to be fair was only required due to some ongoing maintenance. Launceston offers a good challenge to golfers of all levels, rewards bold shot making but demands good decisions off the tee and approach to avoid the many trees and hazards waiting to collect a stray ball.

Still one of the best courses I've played,and I've played quite a few.If I lived nearer I would definitely apply for membership.

Had a fourball booked for 1400 no delays, Managed to get a couple of buggies for a reasonable price, friendly staff and the course was in good condition We all would play here again. Clubhouse was closed when we finished at 18.30 so didn't get to try food or drink.

This was my first time playing this course and played it on my own. On arrival I visited the Pro shop to check and and collect my ball marker for my collection and received a very friendly reception and he was very helpful! The course was in lovely condition and I really enjoyed the difference in each hole, there was uphill and downhills holes, long holes and short holes. I will definitely be returning to this course in the future and would absolutely recommend it, don’t miss out playing this lovely course!
