Great friendly course
One of the best courses in the area, good value and friendly too. Greens were great and course makes you think and shape lots of tee shots, especially on the front 9.. However pace of play was poor the last time we played which ruins the round for me. 4.5hrs for 3 of us, had to wait on every tee and didn’t get let through.
Interesting holes
Lingdale is set in a beautiful part of the world and the layout reflects its surroundings. Up and down front nine with not many chances to hit driver, course in decent condition for the time of year.
Good pace of play
Course was in good condition, members were pretty friendly and the pace of play was really good despite being busy. An enjoyable afternoon.
Very good
A really friendly greeting in the pro shop to a really nicely paced round. All in all very enjoyable. The course was in very good condition, the only slight thing was the greens were pretty slow but they looked like they had left some grass on them after being verti drained. Some good thinking holes on the front with slightly longer holes on the back 9.
One of the best in the area
Great course, very mature and in great condition. Quite a few dog legs and lots of elevation. Will be back again for sure.
Perfect but for slow play
This is a really nice track! Arrived early, guy in the pro shop was super friendly and informative. Course was in great condition despite the rain. We were a 2 playing behind a 4 ball, really nice lads being held up by 3 painfully slow 4 balls in front of them. They let us through, then the 4 ball in front of them refused to let us through, even resorted to shouting at us from the middle of the fairway to not tee off?? The deliberately slowed down, one guy even took 6 minutes to clean and rearrange his clubs in the middle of the fairway. Absolute lemons. Would have given this place a 5 if they weren’t there.
Slowest Round of Golf Ever
Lovely course, slowest members on the planet.
Achieved 10 holes in three hours, emailed the club out of disappointment and never even got a reply hence the review.
Great setting
This course has a fantastic setting, and has great potential to be an amazing course.
The problems we encountered were dog poo on the course, it is a public park, there were people and dogs everywhere. It was a little bit off putting and dangerous as people just walked in front of us a couple of times as we were taking our shots. Because of this we would not play here again.
The tee’s and greens need some attention, however, the fairways were in great condition.
