Very nice course
The course is hilly but in lovely condition green quick only down side no sand in bunkers but apart from that great course will play it again
Mapperley
We played this course on probably the most windy day of August.
Both of us have dodgy knees , and the fact that this course is very hilly did not suit our condition. There is not a flat hole on this course. Mountain goat territory.
The greens were very good, with plenty of undulations,. Fairways were lush and better than most I’ve played on since lockdown.
The pro shop was a let down. No ball markers, limited stock and no entry to browse.
It’s one off the list for Nottingham , after so many positive ratings ,I feel awkward in giving this a lower score. If I’d known if was on a hillside, I’d probably given it a miss.
Very challenging holes on an established course.
First Time
Challenging course with some incredible views of Nottingham. Greens very quick and some lovely members. If you have any sort of injury fitness wise then book a cart. Very Hilly!!!
First Time Visitor
This course was challenging... Plenty of argumentative hills and slopes to trip you up :) Not so challenging that a buggy is required though.
Nice variety of holes (Hated the 572yd par 5, loved the par 3 up hill)

Having visited a few golf courses using the GolfNow app you know that not everywhere you go is going to tick every box but mapperley certainly ticks more boxes than most! We found the quality of the fairways and greens top notch and the overall layout and variety in the holes was excellent. The welcome from the pro in the shop was brilliant and the members were very friendly. The clubhouse was lovely and welcoming with an excellent choice of food with very friendly staff. Can honestly say if I lived closer I would be a member. Will definitely return!
Friendliest if courses
Played with my son and really appreciated the warm welcome at the golf shop and by all the members during the game and after in the bar area The course is well kept , quite challenging and very hilly Great value for money and I would really recommend it for anyone looking for a challenging course and great day out
Excellent Course
First time visitor and have to say the course is Excellent. Placement is key off the tee even with an iron . The staff in the pro shop was excellent and very friendly . I will definitely return and definitely recommend this course .....
This is beautiful and well maintained. Challenging course.
All excellent, except pace of play. Maybe more should be allocated to 4 balls.

Good course - some very nice scenery - very steep so you get a good workout waking the hills.
Challenging but very Enjoyable
Played on one of the hottest days of the year so far and walking so made it very challenging however the course was great and played well for all abilities in my opinion.
Great value for money
Very Undulating
Not played this course before, but read some reviews. Friendly welcome at the pro shop. Course very undulating on evert hole, so difficult. The grass was left quite long so no bounce or roll. The course seemed tricky, but not long, until we reached the two par 5’s. . These two consecutive holes made both my partner and I extremely tired and we finished the round feeling exhausted. Reached the clubhouse at 2.45 and only sandwiches or curry available from the menu. Maybe play here again in the spring when the course might be a bit more forgiving.
Excellent Billy course
Strenuous course, up and down throughout first 9 holes. Keep drives straight can score well, par 3s all different and only 2 par5s. Course in good condition, greens hit it true, should be plenty of par's.

Very friendly and easy going. We were late because of being held up in traffic on the M1.
The club pro was very accommodating and we were allowed to play at a later time.
Interesting course
Played he before ,tough walk, ball always above feet or below feet , when we played it was very wet greens were good but fareways very boggy to the point we thought the course should be shut, will definitely go back but in dry weather
Mixed experience
I liked the course, the feature of which are the two back to back par 5s, but with some qualifications: many of the tee boxes are completely unmarked other then the yellow (in this case) stakes, which made for a couple of navigational issues. As far as I can see none of the members repair pitch marks on greens that deserve better. It is also one of the toughest imaginable courses to walk if you are of senior status and suffer from arthritic knees, I can't recall a flay hole on the course. Some great views and overall very enjoyable, well worth playing and great value for money.
Terrific course
Booked online for a three ball.
Course in great condition and later on ground staff were holotining the greens and adding sand.
Guy in pro shop was really friendly and welcoming.
Had a lovely bacon cob and coffee pre round.
Two ball in front were extremely slow. And didn't let us through but with all the hills was glad to sneak over to 17 and get a pint...
Thanks for your efforts.
