Marsden Golf Club

A well looked after course, although some of the greens had suffered from the recent rain. The course provided physical as well as golfing challenges making for a very enjoyable experience. The fellow golfers on the course and all the staff were very friendly. Would recommend and play again.

This is a lovely nine hole course that was spoilt by the semi rough being left too long. For those of us who can go off the well cut fairway, you can easily lose your ball and ruin your round just off line. The crossing of several fairways at one point slows play. No bar or food service when we visited.

First round of golf iv played and really enjoyed, course conditions were great and staff were friendly, very affordable however only 9 holes with different variants.

A bit tin hat in places & if you go on a windy day take extra balls the rough is rough & deep.

Got rushed by the comp that was on so wouldn't recommend playing here on a sunday, very nice course if you find the fairways on every shot, good luck finding your ball if not! The ruff is 2 foot long and very thick. Lovely fairways and greens tho 👌

Ok so where do I start this course kept popping up and decided to read reviews. Which stated it was hilly but decent

I found it average at best greens very poor clubhouse shut practice facilities not so good poo on some greens

Overall I doubt I'll go back perhaps reviews have been left by beginners or high handicap players it is what it is for the money paid for 18 only did 9 didn't enjoy the experience only good thing was views

If you enjoy steep hills this is the course for you! Very challenging but I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Either the course is tough or I’m terrible at golf… 😂 friendly staff and was made to feel very welcome, fantastic stuff!

I played with my father and it was his first time out in a number of years.

I hadn’t booked but I could see there were lots of tee times available on the BRS/ Golf Now so we just pitched up.

The staff member in the bar was very friendly and informative, I hadn’t played this course before and he gave me a really well produced map of the course which was really handy and I wish more courses did.

There had been a significant amount of rain in the week running up to my round, but the fairways were pretty firm and well kept (probably helped by the sheep on the course).

The greens were pretty slow and didn’t move much, which is probably on account of all the rain.

All in all this was a challenging 9 hole owing to the terrain, and the relatively small greens and narrow fairways.

It was also incredibly cheap, which wasn’t reflected in how well the bar was furnished etc.

Absolutely beautiful course with stunning views,will definitely play again

Course was in great condition after all the rain,. Greens were poor but overall it was a good knock. Bar closed when finished so went down to the cricket club in the sunshine.

Lovely clubhouse and the most friendly staff and members. Loved our day here. Obviously the course has struggled with the weather like all courses ATM but looking forward to a summer visit. Location and views 👌 Best of luck for 2024 Martin and Toni. Nelson GC

A beautiful Scenic course in the peak district. Some lovely holes and great views of the surrounding hills. Even met a few sheep on the way around. Lovely, friendly staff in the club and very helpful and welcoming. An all around brilliant experiece. Well worth the near 30 mile journey.
