Challenging
A great value for money Golf course.
Great condition.
Survival of the fittest.
Buggies or trolley is a must.
Nice course but very hilly
Decent course but extremely hilly, would definitely recommend getting a buggy if you're planning on playing. A few really nice holes driving down the hills and some tough ones coming back up. A fair few inconsiderate players playing when we played, balls landing less than 10 yards from us with no shout and players teeing off when we were in the fairway hitting our second shots clearly in range.
Brilliant day
The course was in excellent condition, good weather helped.
Only £14 to play which is fantastic value so hired a buggy & had a very enjoyable round of golf .
Course in great condition
We had a great round at mytton fold with the course quiet and in great condition. It's not for the faint hearted as its a tough course with plenty of places to lose balls and a bit hilly, but its worth the hill for the outstanding views. Was great value 4 money on a hotdeal.
Good challenge needing every shot over 18 holes
Great course, you need to be fit as it’s very hilly, but challenging holes, not stupidly difficult but keeps you honest and every hole definitely challenges your choice of shot and club. Be it length to account for a stream that crosses fairways or raised or small greens you need to be pin point to hit.
70% of the holes go up and down on the side of a steep hill so you need to be fit and there are pros and cons to playing up to holes or down to holes which makes each shot interesting.
Ridiculously stunning location and views and an idyllic course to have the pleasure of playing.
Excellent and challenging course
As this was the first time playing following surgery- it was perhaps not the best choice due to the hills! However, we managed to complete the course, walking and enjoyed the challenge. The course was in good condition and the staff were excellent and very friendly.
Slow play
I understand that I was playing as a single but the ‘society club’ players would not allow any playing through and were very slow.
I eventually walked off after 9 holes
Great course, very welcoming club
This place is great. The cost is always very low, the staff are friendly and the course is great with some challenging holes. The views are incredible, if you are looking for a welcoming golf club for visitors and not wanting to pay a lot of money this place is worth a round.
a pleasant experience
Booked a round while my wife at cook school and got teamed up with three locals taking advantage of GN hot deal.
We all walked and enjoyed the views of the Ribble valley on a beautiful day. Staff in pro shop very friendly and helpful .
Course in nice condition . It is uphill and downhill a lot so take a buggy if you’re not looking for the additional exercise. Greens in good condition considering the challenging dry conditions.
I would play again if visiting area.
Great views
Great course, greens are very well looked after and the course is stunning - if you don’t like walking up hills would probably recommended getting a buggy
Commendable
Played here for the first time, course in good nick, not much in the way of bunkers. Staff pleasant, had a pint afterwards.
If you haven't played here I recommend you do but be warned, it's a good calf muscle work out
Poor course for the price.
How they charge £30 through golfnow is robbery. If you want to practice your putting before playing there, get your putter and few golf balls, run the bath, get in and try and hit the plug hole.
Most greens had puddles, 2 of the holes were closed but there was nothing on golfnow that mentioned this, it was soggier than me nans knickers.
I can only imagine it's nice when it's dry in the peak of summer so hold off until then if you're thinking of playing there.
Friendly cheap round
Was made to feel very welcome.
Course in good condition for the time of year.
Not the longest course but the hills and undulations create the test. Some really good holes.
Good for a cheap round and wasn't busy.
More of a beginners course.
