Exceptional Value For Money
Can’t put into words how impressed I am with this course, what an absolute gem.
Paid on a hot deal and loved every second of it. Every hole is different, complete test of golf with elevation changes; green positioning and design, bunkering the whole package.
For £21.99 I haven’t played anywhere better value. This place should be easily double.

A Gem
What a fabulous course. Mature parkland / moorland mix. Tucked away in East Lancs great views, some incredibly interesting holes. Greens true and quick. Imagine when the wind blows it could be a beast as it is pretty high and exposed.
One of my favourites
Great course, lovely views of the Pennines. Greens and course was in immaculate condition. Friendly staff and a great little bar. Always a good day out at Nelson.
Magnificent
Simply one of the best courses in England, very picturesque & in fantastic condition,the greens were fast & true.
The best £20 I'll spend all year.
Belting track
First time here, a real test. Front 9 had a lot of different holes to challenge yourself. Would like to play again.
Hidden gem
Fantastic course, great layout really friendly staff..
First day out
Got together with mates for our first day out this year (and it's mid April!). Course was in excellent condition given the weather we have had in recent days/weeks/months!!! Fully open unlike others is testament to the greenskeepers, top work guys/gals. Hope to return when weather and conditions improve.

Incredible course and dry considering the conditions. Really enjoyed. One of the best in the area.
Winter course
Great winter course, considering all the rain we have had the course was surprisingly dry, greens were excellent for November, Pro shop was very informative explaining the winter rules guidelines & direction and on site amenities, bar staff friendly and welcoming
Underwelming
Flat and underwelming. And dog walkers walking anywhere they want! A stray dog on the fairway!
Worst course in Lancashire for enjoyment.

Played Nelson for the 2nd time and really enjoyed the course. Would highly recommend the course to all levels of golfers

Hidden Gem
One of the best golf courses in Lancashire,absolutely stunning,wish I could play it every day.
Course should of been closed
Came to play for the first time after reading great reviews.
Sadly the course was waterlogged and virtually unplayable. The whole of the 15th fairway was under about an inch of water.
I will return as the layout looks good and there was a lot of rain the night before but in light of that the course should of been closed to save visitors wasting their money.
Hopefully I can post a much better review when I return in summer..
