Prudhoe Golf Club - Main Course

Friendly staff, good pace of play and very good course conditions

What a great golf club, the club staff and the members all made us feel very welcomed. It was my son’s first ever round on a full golf course and everyone we met took time to put him at ease. A very enjoyable day and I would highly recommend to everyone.

Great to play this course again. Staff as always very friendly and helpful. Course in great condition. Course was busy, but folks were going along at a reasonable pace. Until the 10th and a couple jumped in. Normally wouldn’t mind this, but there really wasn’t the space. Even worse the slowed right down to such an extent that the folks who were a hole ahead of me were 3 holes ahead by the time I got to the 14th. Most annoying. However, didn’t let it spoil a lovely evening’s golf again at Prudhoe.

Another good round at Prudhoe, course is in great condition

Another most enjoyable evening round at Prudhoe despite a couple of heavy showers. Course in great condition. As always staff very friendly and welcoming. To top it off I was a foot away from a hole in one at the 15t

After all the rain in the last month was delighted that the course was open and was in such good condition. Precaution had been taken to shorten two of the holes to avoid water logged sections, but apart from that the course was really firm. Fairways in good nick and greens in great condition. Lovely winter’s day - not too cold, not too windy and low sun. Staff in pro shop friendly as always.

Ground staff were out and getting in the way . I set myself 3

Times to take a shot and the tractor driver persisted to tour the green and I had to wait a full 5 minutes before my shot and you can imagine what my shot was like. This was happening a few times and they were oblivious to people waiting on. The fairway. The good thing is the course is worth playing . Don’t let this put you off.

The course is good and once you figure out where your going

It’s challenging . Greens are in good condition and tricky.

Good course very lush with the recent rain. Big contrast between the lush fairways and rough which don’t have any carry, and fast sloping greens that didn’t always hold longer approach shots. Putting v difficult good putts would roll on downhill way past the hole.

I played this course on 7/8/23.with two friends. We all came up with the same conclusion. That the course was in excellent condition. Tip top job by the greenkeepers.The friendliness of the staff was excellent. Would recommend our friends to have a round at prudhoe. Thanks everyone at prudhoe golf club.

Really enjoyable course to play, loved the split layout.

Definitely will be back again and again.

Positives: good, interesting layout with some challenging holes and well kept greens. Negatives: some players (members?) are pushing in by going straight from the first green onto the seventh tee box which is backing the course up badly and spoiling things for people that are trying to play the course properly - also intermediate rough maintenance is poor with grass cuttings piled up around the course resulting in difficulty locating balls that are just off the fairway - my ball even got mowed whilst on the fairway by the man in the grass cutting tractor! Course management needs to have a review of what is going on as the current situation will deter visitors from booking which is a shame.

Good course but selling hot deals on a Tuesday morning, which is when they have their senior medal.

I turned up for my 9:48 tee time only to find I'd be behind about 4 groups of senior 4 balls. Said to the pro shop it'd be a lot of waiting around and they just shrugged and said it's always busy on a Tuesday (and Thursday) morning.

So why are they selling tee times that sit right in the middle of this? Obviously just interested in filling a slot and getting the money even if it means the person playing will likely walk off after 7 holes because it's already taken 3 hours. Really poor!

Thankfully someone who I'm not sure if they were a member of someone who worked there said there was no one on the back 9 and to start there instead and do the front 9 after as it'd be clear then.

I wouldn't mind so much if the pro shop had recommended this, but they had absolutely no interest in my experience and couldn't have cared less.

Thanks to the person who told me the back 9 was clear I had a great time (or this would have been a 1* review)... Course in good condition, greens absolutely pristine, and a fun course to play.

I'll be back but will be avoiding Tuesdays and Thursdays... The course needs to think about their behaviour with hot deals though because if someone has a bad experience they won't return, and also will leave bad reviews which is counter productive in the long run.

Oh and I had actually spoke to the pro shop about playing on the Tuesday too prior to booking and they didn't mention the seniors 🤨. Really shady behaviour!
