Prudhoe Golf Club - Main Course

Really enjoyable course to play, loved the split layout.

Definitely will be back again and again.

Positives: good, interesting layout with some challenging holes and well kept greens. Negatives: some players (members?) are pushing in by going straight from the first green onto the seventh tee box which is backing the course up badly and spoiling things for people that are trying to play the course properly - also intermediate rough maintenance is poor with grass cuttings piled up around the course resulting in difficulty locating balls that are just off the fairway - my ball even got mowed whilst on the fairway by the man in the grass cutting tractor! Course management needs to have a review of what is going on as the current situation will deter visitors from booking which is a shame.

Good course but selling hot deals on a Tuesday morning, which is when they have their senior medal.

I turned up for my 9:48 tee time only to find I'd be behind about 4 groups of senior 4 balls. Said to the pro shop it'd be a lot of waiting around and they just shrugged and said it's always busy on a Tuesday (and Thursday) morning.

So why are they selling tee times that sit right in the middle of this? Obviously just interested in filling a slot and getting the money even if it means the person playing will likely walk off after 7 holes because it's already taken 3 hours. Really poor!

Thankfully someone who I'm not sure if they were a member of someone who worked there said there was no one on the back 9 and to start there instead and do the front 9 after as it'd be clear then.

I wouldn't mind so much if the pro shop had recommended this, but they had absolutely no interest in my experience and couldn't have cared less.

Thanks to the person who told me the back 9 was clear I had a great time (or this would have been a 1* review)... Course in good condition, greens absolutely pristine, and a fun course to play.

I'll be back but will be avoiding Tuesdays and Thursdays... The course needs to think about their behaviour with hot deals though because if someone has a bad experience they won't return, and also will leave bad reviews which is counter productive in the long run.

Oh and I had actually spoke to the pro shop about playing on the Tuesday too prior to booking and they didn't mention the seniors 🤨. Really shady behaviour!

Good condition for the time of year some holes where on temporary green but overall had a great day

Played here for the first time today and wasn't impressed. Fairway grass quite long and often hard to differentiate between fairway and first cut of rough.

Lots several balls just slightly off the fairway because the grass is so long. No gradual change from fairway to light rough to thicker stuff.

Some holes criss cross over each other so you have people walking across the fairway as you're waiting to hit, although the back few holes are over the road and more spread out which is better.

A few blind shots where if you don't know the course make it difficult to know where to aim with no fairway markers to help.

Greens were in excellent condition and staff friendly, but quite a higgledy piggledy course which needs a bit more tlc to be worth revisiting.

Have always wanted to play at This course. Through Golf Now the opportunity arose. From visiting the Pro Shop to having a Cold one afterwards the staff were fantastic and helpful. The Course was in great condition in a lovely day. The holes are somewhat spaced out at times but what’s a few extra yards walking when your playing golf. Highly recommended by the three of us who played….will certainly be back

The staff were friendly and helpful made sure we were adequately prepared as the weather was extremely hot Even recommending to came back at the 8th to refresh our water supplies.

The course itself was in excellent condition and the greens were lush and flowing. The whole site was laid out well. The only criticism I would have is the 6th Tee box could be on the flight path of the third.

Most excellent day out

Overall experience excellent,a good mix of holes,some short par fours one of two medium length and a few over 400 yards,greens were the best I've played so far this year,true and fast,would like to have seen a layout of the hole from the tee,as there were a few blind shots,only way I could improve the experience,would be to have 3 flag system on the greens,for front middle and back,can't wait to return.

Course was good some enjoyable holes, greens were fantastic, only negative was the blind shots on some holes, could do with hole layout on tee boxes, definitely play it again.

Overall very enjoyable layout. Very tight in places and a good test. Despite fairways needing a cut (minor thing!), greens were absolutely outstanding. Definitely be back

Enjoyable early morning round and despite cold conditions the course is in great shape

Enjoyed this day all went well from arriving till I had to leave I’m a ex member of this club and it has improved no end. Brilliant day I will be back for another round soon..
