Been a While
Not played for a couple of years and it was great to revisit. Course was in superb condition….. Hate recommending a course because it normally means more people want to play …… very enjoyable day
Immaculate course, Short, Open with Enjoyable Challenges
A short (especially off the yellows) and open course , with a few challenges made it enjoyable to play.. Its a young course which should get better with age..
The course condition, facilities and staff were all excellent.
This course is in fantastic condition
Left after 12 holes cause the four ball in front would not let me play through. Absolutely ridiculous.
Lovely updates over the years
Love all the little updates on the course over the years
New bunkers which some are in interesting places
Stripped back the rough in places
Moved some of the tees and made them attractive around the club house.
Sky Larks
Played on a windy Saturday in a 4 ball. Course was in good condition with the greens being outstanding. Parts of the fairway were a little bare but overall a good experience. We had no hold ups and weren’t pushed by the groups behind despite playing with a novice player.
Will certainly play here again
Very fair and challenging course
As a former member here I was very pleased to get a great offer from GolfNow to play here again. The course is a fair and challenging test and was in very good condition, especially the bunkers which were of a very high standard, perhaps I saw a bit too much of them for my liking but there you are.
Slow play
4 ball in front to our two ball, they were playing of the white tees for some reason. Looking for balls left and right all the time, never once said Play through or rang the bells. Laughing out load when we was teeing off on the tee next to them. I’m only playing to have fun and enjoy the game. But these fu%#ing idiots ruin it for others.. not really sure anything can be done.
Lovely
Played for the first time at Skylark. A lot of thought has gone in to the layout and the course has a fantastic variety of holes and difficulty level. The greens and bunkers are in superb condition.
My only gripe is that you have to check in in the bar area. It feels like a bit of an afterthought. An actual shop would be better. The barman has a queue of people waiting for drinks and also a queue waiting to check in.
Friendly staff
Very friendly and helpful staff both in the bar when we confirmed our arrival and the starter on the first tee.
The course was in good condition and the greens were in excellent shape.
Only negative was the course was very busy on the weekday we played, which made for a slow round with lots of hanging around on the tees, although this did allow us to chat with some friendly members.
Social golf day
Skylark is an excellent course if you are not a long hitter. There are ponds and ditches to avoid. Greens are excellent. My main bug bear is the use of buggies on golf courses when you are walking.Group behind us were no better golfers than us and we had group in front of us. A couple of times they hit the ball through us without being called up. Would certainly play the course again though.
Course in good condition
Not the longest but much improved course I’ve the past couple of years
