Good but

I really like this course and the staff.

Playing this time the tees and greens were not mowed recently. Puts needed to be hit and not rolled. Very surprised weather conditions would not have prevented green staff getting on the course

Nice course but needs work

Lovely course and some lovely long holes. Greens are poor with long grass and poor general condition. Fairways didn't look as though they'd been cut for some time. Everything else was great

Good challenging course

A great course that will test your ability to the full. Only downside was the lack of sand in some bunkers.

Nice course, well maintained

Decent course in very good condition given the recent weather. Nice little range. It’s just missing a better stocked club ahop and a bar.

Poor Conditions, Nice Course

Greens were really well kept. Unfortunately most of the fairways were boggy throughout. Grass long and many a ball 'in play' going missing. The course would be very attractive why dry.

Wet in places, but overall good

In some places it was wet, but others was OK. It felt like we had the course to are self. I would say that half the fairways have been cut and the other not, overall it was good

Good course

Great course with friendly staff in the shop and around the course. Course condition was good considering the recent weather, all holes open and they had worked hard to keep the course to a good playable standard

Very wet long grass

The course itself didn’t seem too bad however it was Sunday morning and extremely busy. I went in the pro shop to confirm my tee time where they informed me that the grass hadn’t been cut for a while due to the wet conditions and to expect to loose a few balls. Whilst out on the course it was really slow going. The grass was really long ankle height and very wet. The ball was just plugging on the fairway if you could call it that it was more like rough. However I will go back in the summer months just to see the difference. £26 to play a course in such a state is a little excessive I felt.

Excellent condition for time of year

The fairways were in excellent condition. The tee boxes were a bit overgrown and greens were very slow and sandy but that is to be expected as they gear up for winter and will definitely be beneficial and help during the winter months. Will definitely be back as it's a very enjoyable course with lots of different types of holes

First time at Six Hills

First time at Six Hills golf club and it was a very pleasant experience. Staff were friendly on signing-in and the amenities were clean and tidy. The course was in very good condition; the tee-boxes, fairways and rough. And the pace of the greens was equal throughout the 18 holes.

A nice course, very green and inviting. Will definitely be returning.

Great value for money

Well kept and nice course, great value for money. Green speeds can vary from hole to hole. Fairways are well maintained. Some lovley soft bunkers on some holes that your ball will sink and plug into. Some great risk and reward holes. Rough is not to long so off fairway balls are findable and hard to hit out off but trees will make you think. Lady behind the desk was friendly and a great welcome to the course. Only drawbacks were lack of bar after round, although bottles are available. Although their are some courses that are slightly better and more challenging in the area, none are as good for value for money and making you feel welcome.
