I had read a mixed bag of reviews about this course so went with an open mind

Me and mate found it quite challenging being the first time we had played but are planning to go again now we have a better understanding of the layout

We enjoyed it

Good course

First time playing Six Hills, course condition was good for the time of year. Course layout was good for long hitters, you can attack the dog legs with going over the trees and cut the corners off. My playing partners struggled because they are big hitters. Plenty of par 5’s and driveable par 4’s but some long par 3 which my playing partners struggled on the most. Overall good course, driving range and putting green was good. Driving range was £1 for 18 balls. No hot food in the club house but the cheese and onion cob was delicious. Will be definitely back in the spring/summer. Paid £28 for 18 holes which is great value.

Worst course I have ever played

£28 to play the worst course I have ever played.

Fairways more like rough, tee boxes are the most uneven and ripped to shreds and not even cut to the point you couldn’t see a castle tee. greens are running so slow that I was tempted to chip on a couple of them.

Layout is poor and then to add in a 245 yard par 3 when there is no fairway to run out on is mental.

Couple of bits in the shop but like a retirement home.

Lots of exposed dirt on the greens

18 holes should be £15 tops and that is being generous.

Never going back.

THE WORST COURSE!!! DO NO GO

I came here this week with a couple friends thinking I’d have fun round of golf, I was wrong.

The staff are totally rude and impolite the greens are some of the worst I’ve ever seen of my life.

If you want to play on a terrible course, lose all your money and have a bad time I would recommend this course.

Nice course but greens were very slow.

Overall an enjoyable day out ,great pace of play. It's a shame that they do not open the bar because it looks great, but you had to buy bottles out of a cooler.

Great course

Played after work with a friend great course unfortunately they had just done the greens nobody told us this and we were still charged full price which was a shame as it kind of let it down other than that I would definitely recommend playing it in the summer when the greens are true

Great day

Course is in great nick, some long & difficult par 3s, although there is no bar the fridges are well stocked £4:50 for 2 pint cans of Carling, possible improvement could be some direction sins showing you which way the next T is. Apart from that a great course, will definitely be returning.

Nice course

First time playing here this year and at the time I played it felt like I had the course to myself which is always nice. Unfortunately someone had inconsiderately decided to plant trees in all the places I hit my ball, though in hindsight maybe that was partly my fault… Anyhow, the only minor criticism was the greens which were quite slow with some patchy and bobbly spots in places, which made them hard to judge. Overall though, very enjoyable round and will be back soon.

Wonderful course with weather to match

Firstly the little niggle to get it out of the way. Some parts of most of the greens were patchy and uneven

As for the rest of it what a fantastic course. Every hole offered a different challenge. Not a lot of water but there is enough else here for all golfers. If also encourages a return trip as the hardest 4 holes which I played badly (think snowman) I would play completely differently and be confident of a different result. Long par threes are reachable with accurate drives and most bunkers escapable. Visit this course soon we will be back

Lovely course

Having driven up from Norwich we wanted a good value course. This course was ideal. A little short but some challenging dog legs and narrow tee shots. Bunkers and water hazards are positioned to make you think. Bunkers are well sanded and quite shallow. Tee boxes in good order and the fairways well looked after. The greens were slower than they looked with some tricky run offs if you get it wrong. Locals are friendly and value for money was outstanding, £24 for 18 holes and £20 for the buggy. Highly recommend.

Hot weather
Walked

Off the fairways the first cut rough was long. The green were very slow with longer than expected grass. Water in various bunkers, and some fairways still very damp. Must have had a very heavy downpour recently.
