Great golf course!
1st time playing Springwater, after an hours drive i can say for certain id play it again. A real hidden gem this one, good value for money. A lot of blinds holes but overall a fun & well looked after course. Would advise buggies!
Course is in superb condition, greens especially good.
The course is in perfect condition. Greens were the best, the ball really did glide unreally consistent throughout.
Good workout, poor greens
First time here with someone who had been before and said it was "quirky".
Very up and down, my fitness tracker suggested I climbed 42 flights of stairs! After one night of rain, the lower holes were very muddy and care had to be taken to stay on your feet. All greens were in operation, however all tees were on mats, up to 50 yds ahead of the normal tee boxes.
Mats were generally fine, however greens were generally poor - pock-marked (like a herd of deer had run over them). Made putting a bit of a lottery.
Would try it again in the summer, when hopefully conditions are better.
It was cheap (£14) and we were round in three hours as there were few people about.
Very poor condition
Facilities very good with lovely clubhouse but the course is the worse I have seen it in very poor condition. It was like playing on compacted mud in places……
Lovely course
First time i have played the course. Although a very frosty morning course was a joy to play. Some lovely holes. Course looked in good shape for the winter months and great to see that the proper greens were all in use and not winter greens. Will defiently be back in the spring to play again
Let down by the greens
Even allowing for the time of year, the greens badly let down this otherwise enjoyable course badly. A significant number of the greens were almost unplayable, with so many putts being in the hands of the gods.
A real shame, because the layout was enjoyable, with some great views, and the clubhouse and pro shop very pleasant. The bunkers in particular had excellent sand, which is not always the case, even at more expensive clubs.
Last minute choice
Our own course was waterlogged so looked elsewhere to play. Bargain deal booked last minute. Course was in good condition considering heavy rain prior to playing. Happily play the course more often if it was closer.
Springwater
For the time of year the course was in very good condition Greens was in good condition Some very exiting well placed holes Will be going back again
Good course
Good course, some hard blind holes but good fun. Would recommend!
Sunshine follows the rain
Played the course today after a lot of rain. There were puddles of water in places but mainly on the fairway, there was no standing water on the greens which we as a group thought was exceptional. Didn't expect a round today but glad we went out and then when the sun arrived we were all roasting in our waterproof clothing! Great round had by all 4.
Love the Test
What a great course, I've played this course around 9 times now and if it was closer to where I lived I would gladly become a member. Staff are very welcoming & friendly and the course presents some challenges with cheeky par 3's & a few Oak trees that stand in your way.
Overall I would recommend this course to anyone and everyone.
Great value for money
I pledged to play 12 new courses this year and this is number 7. Great deal on golf now. Tees and greens were in really good condition. Some greens were hard to read but true. Fairways were OK but like everywhere needed rain. Need to play again due to some blind shots. Recommend using yardage book as this gave good indication of how to play the course. Nice clubhouse and friendly staff. Would also recommend a buggy.
SpringWater GC is a great test for….
SpringWater GC is a great test for amateur’s and pro’s, alike. Not played the course for many years and we really enjoyed our round. Condition is really good to say we’ve had no rain for weeks and a heatwave. Would definitely recommend and play the course, again…
