Springwater Golf Club

Great course, really challenging terrain, would highly recommend a buggy or trolley cart as it’s a real calf burner at times. Absolutely amazing par 3’s. Only down side was the pace of play but I was playing alone and behind a 2 and 4 ball, so was to be expected.

If you are a casual golfer that plays half a dozen times a year then fill your boots .

If you are a serious golfer that appreciates quality then this is not going to be on your play list.

Greens were OK although a few odd shaped ones but the course layout was very compact.

Excellent course, every hole is thought provoking and demands good course management. Greens were excellent and difficult to read.

Good course, great clubhouse with friendly staff good food and selection of drinks. We had a great day here and will Go again.

We went to springwater one a one off after being told how good condition the course has been in. Spoke to one of the members who said that there has only been 2 and one part time greenkepper looking after the course. I couldn't believe how good it was. Hats off to the lads

A nice but challenging round. Course very well maintained, greens quick in the spring sunshine. Very welcoming staff and all in all a very pleasant afternoon.

Course is in reasonable condition but not as good as other courses in the area. This is a hilly course with some nice challenges and course alterations that have improved things a tad.

Was met in the pro shop by a member of staff who managed to book me in whilst he was having a chat on the phone. Made decent progress until getting held up considerably by a group of four (clearly) members who were still teeing off on several holes as I arrived at the tee. Pretty poor! I suppose this was my standout memory. It’s OK

Great course but some of the greens were a bit patchy.....

Never seen greens so bad on a course, honestly be better chipping on the greens. No warning or discount to such poor conditions

Great people in the the club house.

Soft course when we played, which makes it difficult on the day.

Overall was a very good place to play.

Would recommend to anyone that would like a good course to play.

Never played here before, warm friendly welcome. Course is park land in style. Uphill and down dale but not difficult to walk around. Some interesting hole with water hazards. 18th par 3 with its 3 ponds on the left and in front of the green great fun. Try to go straight at the flag if you dare. Only issue at this time of year was the greens sandy and gritty due to maintenance work. But needs to be done.

Really good condition from tee through the fairway for this time of year. The best I have played on in a few months. The course was challenging and the changes in elevation made every shot different. The greens however were the worst I have seen. Either the players have no respect for the course and do not repair their pitch marks or the groundsmen are still on furlough. I gave up trying to read the putts because the ball would jump left on green and kick right on another.

I know this time of year makes it very challenging but I have not seen a club get it this wrong.

The staff were very friendly especially the pro who greeted me. The members were nice and let me play through as a single and could not complain about the pace of play. I will come back to the club again and encourage others to do the same as long as there is some serious work put into those greens.

The greens were almost unplayable. Charged £20 when some holes were fairway temporary green but wasn't much worst than the bobbly putting greens anyway. Extremely slow play, must have had a society on in front resulting in 3 groups waiting at the downhill hole adjacent to the driving range. We left after 13 holes and made a quick exit to the clubhouse. I appreciate courses aren't going to be in the best playing condition at this time of year, but what we played I would expect at a £5 per round council run course.
