Good back 9

Excellent value for money for winter golf.

Front 9 very wet with temporary greens and tees in places.

Back 9 great for this time of the year.

Club house staff friendly

Good value for money

Played 2nd Nov for £9 . Course was quiet and a challenge - the greens were very wet , so chipping had to be on the flag or very short!. First 9 is enclosed by trees but consequently forces you to think . Second nine you can be more brave with the driver..Enjoyed the course

Frustrating day

Played this course quite a few times over the last couple of years and it has been good, however the last two times have been frustrating and disappointing with some of the greens being poor and one in particular grass bare over 15% of it, but the worst part has been the speed of play. This last time a members 4ball didnt offer to let my 2ball play through and the round took us 4hrs and 25 mins. Ridiculous. Leaving bags on the opposite side of the green to the exit point, doing scorecards on the green after finishing, and general slow play really should be addressed by the club. I wont be back in a hurry

Nice course

Stocksfield is a good course with a few tricky holes. The greens were fast but sadly a few of them are in need of some attention around the edges where the grass has completely gone. Very friendly in the clubhouse and nice to see the outside space has been revamped.

A course i return to play regularly

Excellent condition

Best condition I’ve played Stocksfield. Dry summer has really helped the couple of greens that normally take a hit in the wet weather. Front 9 good fun and tight through the trees. Definitely worth a knock and the grub is great aswell.

Very slow play, not for the first time

Fantastic course, Would play again but the slow play made the tempo of our game very disjointed, this has happened the last twice I have played here.

Stocksfield

Nice course, some good challenging holes, but fairways a bit lopsided due to course location, but overall will definitely play there again.
