Nice Course
Played here on Sunday afternoon and was impressed. The natural lie of the land lends itself to a maturing course which is quite hilly and has a spot of class to it. The tee boxes were in better condition than most course I've played acceoting guests and the greens were very well kept minus a few unrepaired divets owing to it being a very busy day. I would recommend playing it and the only negative was being placed behind a four ball playing in a medal and a 2 ball behind us also in a medal. On one par 5 there were three groups on the same hole which is just impatient. When we let the 2 ball play through us at the next tee, of course we were stuck behind them which confirmed that it was just a busy day rather than any slow play on our part. Clubhouse ok, great bacon sandwich and great pint of well kept Guinness after golf. Unprotentious but upholding all the expected standards. Man in pro shop a bit grumpy. Would play again though.

However on arrival was told the greens were being redone - I asked if I could change my playing time to play it in its proper condition - and told no
After an hour drive the the course - golf now should have this information before you book - course was not up to the value or standard as the greens were sand covered and holes everywhere
Nice course, overbooked and slow play
While the course is nice, and fairly well kept. The tee time was double booked with a 4 ball of members who refused to let myself and my playing partner tee off ahead of them despite being only a 2 ball. obviously The staff sided with the members and not common sense and that was that. This meant for a round that took just under 5 hours and was at some points painfully slow as we waited on every shot. We spoke to the group behind us while both waiting on the tee to find out that their time was also double booked with another group behind them! Shame as some of the holes on the course are great and it takes the fun away from playing
