Great value
3 or 4 holes on the back 9 let it down slightly, but overall good course and great value for money.
Golf day
Good course good layout and in decent condition in present weather conditions
Driving range needs tidying up and although it didn’t spoil the round being stuck behind a ladies match did make the round incredibly long
Club house is good and pro shop was fine
Excellent Winter conditions
For mid February the course was in excellent condition. Obviously preferred lies helps but the greens were running very well
Have played a number of courses locally this winter and this compares very favourably.
Pace of play was good and with a 1pm tee we still got in before dark.
Both Valley and Wensum courses worth playing.
Very good
Great course. They are in the process of re developing some of the holes however it hasn't really taken away from the enjoyment and the course is well maintained. Some challenging holes especially on the back 9vwith plenty of water to try and stay away from.
Bar very good and reasonably priced
Great value for money when on hot deal.
Well kept
Course was very well kept especially for a English winter environment. Very good to play on
Poor condition
Was disappointed with the condition of the fairways, very poor we thought.
Good value
Played The Wensum a few times now. Front 9 is definitely your scoring holes as the back nine brings in water. If you are a slicer then the back 9 could cause you some trouble. Greens are very fast. Quite tricky to read. Definitely a challenge. The fairways haven’t completely recovered from the recent hot weather. Patchy in places. Tight bare lies around some of the greens. Very busy at weekends. Our playing partners walked off after 9 holes last weekend. Too slow, however it’s a decent golf course to play and at £13 a round through Golf Now it’s good value for money. It’s a challenge for even an accomplished player hence the reason why they’ve hosted the EuroPro tour there a few times I believe.
Enjoyable course but not in the best condition
We played the wensum course which we have played a few times before. The course layout is enjoyable with some good challenging holes but this time out we were disappointed with the condition of the course. The greens were ok but fairways were very poor and around the greens were not great either. Didn’t effect the enjoyment of our round but it has certainly been in better condition in the past when we have played. Noticeable worst than previous rounds.
Casual round
Great course and facilities. Greens good. Layout fun. My favourite hole in norfolk the 10th. Water holes also a bit of fun. Wensum is a test for average golfer.
Ok for the money
On a hot deal it is worth it but not at the full rate, the bunkers are really the let down of the course, layout is good. Pace of play at the weekends is terrible from previous experience.
Grandpa and Grandson
Have played this course since it was first built.
Many good memories of times with friends and family some sadly departed.
Now I have Jack my Grandson to join me on the course.
Always look forward to that view from the Pro Shop and The Wendim holes are like a nature walk.
Just hope I can continue to replace the balls that seem to like the water..
A pleasure to play.
Back 9 water features
Great value for money. The back 9 is especially interesting with water coming in on nearly every hole. Some of the tee shots are daunting because of this. Quiet when we played so no hold ups. Looking forward to playing the other course at the venue
A game of two halves
Front nine was scenic parkland undulating and with some dramatic dog legs and interesting holes , unfortunately as we entered the back nine we were met with a selection of excessive use of ponds , lakes and various water hazard that did nothing to improve the holes and was in our opinion poorly planned and just made the course in a breeze almost impossible to play .
The second nine with the exception of 17 & 18 spoiled the experience for us and the condition was no where near that of the front nine .
