Great course.
Brilliant course. Great club and club house and really great friendly guy in the pro shop.
Was a pity that pace of play was quite slow. We finished the 18 in the dark and I was on to my best ever round. Will definitely head back for sure.
Confusion when teeing off
Had to tee of on the 10th in between a group playing in a competition so got moved to the first tee after a lot of moaning
Usually a nice course
The course was under significant repair, removal of a large number of trees which led to very bad conditions. Frustrating that we paid the full course fees given the works being carried out.
Great course spoilt by the pace of play
There are a lot of positives about the course, the condition despite it being a bit wet was great, the greens were pretty quick albeit a tiny bit bumpy, the fairways although not cut short were lush and green, and the practice facilities are really really good!
People have mentioned the trees being cut down being a shame, but it's still very woody, and perhaps more playable with fewer trees (I haven't played it before this round) my biggest gripe was pace of play, it took about 5hrs which to be frank for a course this short is totally unacceptable, I waited on every single tee and on every single shot, I think this is a common challenge of the course as well as it has been mentioned before. Speed of play was a huge issue and really detracted from what is a great course
Thank you for your review. Marshals are on duty every day to keep groups moving but please let us know if you wish to return and we will try to get you out at a quieter time. We are confident the tree work will improve the course so hopefully see you back soon to see the results
played here before covid, they must of had a chain saw for Christmas, its a shame 3 holes have changed for the worse but still a very good coarse, excellent greens and very fast. some tees are being re newed so your off one tee or a good mat.
overall worth every penny, and would play there tomorrow, i was surprised how wet it was in places.

Lovely course!
Really enjoyed the round, the conditions were perfect and the course was in great nick. Staff were very friendly and helpful and everything was on point. The only one negative was the 8 four balls out in front. This really slowed the pace of play on the back 9.

Great course tight fairways
A great golf course to challenge your game with some tight fairways and risk and reward tee shots. Would definitely recommend it.

Ridiculous pace of play
The course itself is very good with a challenging layout and it is in good condition, but having to wait an average of 5-10 minutes on the tee box is unacceptable. At the turn we had to wait 20-30minutes to tee off. It just throws you off your game and sucks the fun out of it. Only saw the Marshall once after which the pace of play actually got worse. For the amount of money one pays to play this course I expected a lot better form the course management perspective.I feel hard done by and paid a substantial sum and didn’t get what due in return.
I got a response from the club that makes no sense as only one review listed below mine says pace of play is excellent, one average and all the rest says poor, so not quite sure how the response from the club says they haven’t had a lot of issues with this. In my opinion this response is only posted to make it look like they care when I fact they do not. Tick Box exercise!!
We're sorry to hear you had a slow game at the club recently. On the day you played we had a very slow group in front of you that despite marshalling caused issues with the pace of play behind. On busy days we have a starter as well as a marshal to limit instances such as these. This year we have had very few comments regarding the speed of play so our marshalling is largely effective. Once again we apologise and hope you return to Westerham soon.
Really enjoy Westerham
It’s a great course. Quite testing with some really good holes. I hate the par-3 14th (might be 13th), otherwise top-notch. Friendly staff and well-kept overall. Would recommend a trip here any time. Can be a bit slow
Course is very well maintained
During my experience, the play was so slow I decided to come off after 9 and do the first 9 again. The course is in fantastic condition and well maintained. The holes are a little short in length, but overall it’s a very pleasant place and nice experience.
The course was in grest condition. Greens were fast. Off the yellow tees the course was very short. Seemed to be hitting iirons off every par 4 for position. Pace of play was very slow. Took 5 hours to play 18 holes in a 2 ball with a buggy.
Great course to play
Played this course on the Bank Holiday Monday as a two ball with my son. We had a tee off of 1.52 and were expecting a fairly slow round. On arrival we were told that we could tee off whenever we wanted to as they weren’t very busy. This was an understatement as after we had a quick warm up didn’t really see another soul until we caught up with a two ball in front on the 16th, and despite only ambling around finished in just over 3 hours.
With regards the course it was playing really well with a good variety of holes and despite not necessarily being the longest, with many holes being accurate is more important than distance with the correct club selection being equally important. All of the fairways seemed in good condition with the greens being very testing as they were fairly fast and many had a massive variety of slopes and breaks. It took us both a while to get the feel of the green’s but once we had they seemed very consistent.
Off the course all the facilities seemed to be well looked after and the staff very friendly.
Overall I would recommend this course but at £50 slightly expensive even for a Bank Holiday round.
