Westerham Golf Club

Played Westerham for the first time during the prolonged dry spell. Would definitely go back when we’ve had some rain. Tough course, true test, some great holes. Hilly but not overly, good variation of holes and greens are tricky.

Great course design, in the woods with a lot of hard holes. Pace was great. Greens were nice, even though overall course condition was not super (probably due to scarcity of rains in these weeks). Reccomended

I love this course, it’s a great test but can be rewarding if you hit good shots as the greens run true and aren’t difficult apart from 3 or 4.

I’ve played this during the week when it is much more enjoyable. This is the second time I’ve played on a weekend and I’m yet to get round in under 5 hours. Too many players crossing fairways to take shots , too many players on the course to maximise revenue.

The problems on the weekend could be resolved if a starter was on the first tee and if Marshalls were on the course speeding up play.

It’s no fun when it takes around 20 minutes per hole.

I appreciate that clubs need to get money back in since covid but the result is that this course now suffers the same problems as Woldingham and Surrey national (also altonwood group clubs) have.

I won’t be back on a Saturday or Sunday again.

Quite a hilly one so great workout when walking. Some of the greens are quite difficult for that reason. Lovely views.

Really enjoyed the round here. The course design is fantastic. I would say some of the greens need a little TLC

It’s a lovely course and a great setup overall. What let’s it down is the pace of play. The starter informed us that there were double bookings all morning because they haven’t got a system which prevents double bookings. Very slow round.
