Westerhope Golf Club

Good course I’ve only been playing a year but there are some nice wide fairways to help you out. Greens are also fairly flat greens to help you out with putting.

Booked Westerhope as we decided to get a knock in last minute on Good Friday and needed an early tee time. We hadn’t played the course before but from what we could see online it looked like a nice course so decided to give it a go and I can say we weren’t disappointed. The course was in lovely condition for the time of year and to be on proper tee box’s and only one temp green in play, it shows how well looked after and maintained the course is. 10/10 would recommend and will be definitely returning in the summer to see the course in all its beauty.

We were over the northeast for a family member attending the hospital for an operation, so choose this course for its proximity, to kill a few hours whilst waiting. Unfortunately when we played, the first three holes were closed. The course would be a great course to play outside of winter rules. Some of the holes were significantly shorter and the winter greens not the greatest. We managed to jump back onto the last 5 holes without affecting anyone else’s game so still got a full round (+2 holes). Nice course, forgiving layout, would love to play during the summer. Recommend if your near!

Round was a bit slow due to people not letting faster groups through but got there in the end. Nice course and friendly staff.

Having played here a few times when I was younger and a few times currently I still find it an enjoyable round of golf on a course that is well maintained.

Course waa on good condition. Quiet for a Sunday afternoon little bit flat and few holes criss cross but decent Course.

Course is really good for the average golfer and it’s my second time playing there however there were two groups in front of us and the pace of play was absolutely shocking. It nearly took three hours to play 9 holes luckily they were leaving after 9. Not once did they offer to let us through, yes we’ve all been at a point when you can only hit it 10 yards but when it’s every shot on every hole be mindful of the people playing behind you. Surely the pro shop would have known who was in front and could have gave some notice. Like I say the course is brilliant and I will probably be back but I will be reporting if slow play like that happens again cause it was ridiculous.

Lovely afternoon’s golf in glorious sunshine. Course in great condition. Wonderfully friendly staff. I was playing on my own and very courteous footballs let me play through so was round in just over two and a half hours. A most enjoyable round on a great course.

First time playing here and won’t be the last. Everything was superb and a bargain at £20!
