Great course
Course was on great condition greens fairways and the bunkers. I would advise anyone to play this course no two holes the same so good variation during your round.
The course is very good
Definitely play again it’s pretty hard if you just starting out but well worth it some great holes

Whitley Bay on a lovely day--been 25yrs since i played this course. Layla Levy the secretary was as lovely as ever and a delight to see again-, thankyou. Fairways --hard but cut short--greens--very good /fast /true---thankyou Martin. Theres been a few changes on the course --bridges OOB and some of the fairways have been smoothed out but easy walking . The clubhouse hasnt changed--good selection of beers / food ----all in all --a good day out and extremely good value.
Hidden gem
What an excellent course with most holes really making you think about club selection and ball positioning.
Really looking forward to playing there again soon .
Fantastic condition
This was my first visit to WBGC for a few years and I was really impressed by the course developments and the overall course condition which was fantastic.. The green fee was great value for money and the pace of play was good considering how busy the course was. Definitely play here if you get the chance.

First hole eases you in. The greens are running true and fast. Bunkers was in spectacular condition.
I would recommend this course to anyone.
Golf Now! Never again
Golf Now, needs to understand that information is key! Especially in the winter months, we arrived at the course! And hour before, to give us chance to familiarize ourselves with the facilities, changing area and warm up! We then noticed A sign stating no trolleys? First issue! Then we went to the pro shop! To speak to the staff, who gave us carry bags which I thought was really good considering Golf now had not informed me that no trolleys were allowed today? Also the fact the the course had been closed the previous day! And was only by chance it was open to play today. We headed to the first tee! Straight away we couldn’t find the correct tee? Purple sticks in the ground? New one but ok! As we played the next few holes we could see that the course was very very wet even in the middle of the fairway? We all agreed that the course would be so much better if it was dryer, the greens were in good condition, but the fact it’s was very wet, foot prints were leaving dents in the ground, therefore putting was impossible, After a few more holes we decided enough was enough and walked off on the 11 hole! We thought we would head to the bar for at least a drink to finish the day. But again the bar only took cash not card? So we couldn’t even get a drink! Apart from the fact we thought that whitley bay golf course would be good to play in better conditions . I won’t be booking it through Golf now. I have already deleted the App! Won’t be returning to golf now until it improves its overall communication with customers!
First visit to Whitley bay golf course
This was the first time I'd played at Whitley bay golf course and first impressions is that I'm looking forward to better weather to be able to enjoy it more. Understandably there was a no trollies allowed and using a carry bag was tough going as there is alot of elevated fairways.
First time.
Fantastic course. First time playing here, so some holes were tricky. But really enjoyed it. Food in the bar was really good aswel.
TEMPORARY GREENS, FULL PRICE!
Lovely course and facilties but extremely disappointed that for £50 each, there were 4 temporary greens in a row in the middle of September. In fact to even call them temporary greens is an injustice as it was simply 4 flags stuck in the middle of the fairway and not even cut into a temp green. I understand that greens maintenance has to take place, but this should be reflected in the price. Shame because im sure if all greens had been in play my experience would have been a positive one.
Slow play, unwelcoming vibe
Booked a 2 ball, was randomly joined by another 2 ball the club booked us with.
Members snooty, unwelcoming.
Pace of play was excruciatingly slow- grid locked tees. Took 2.5hrs to play 7 holes

Played the course 40 years ago, its improved drastically, greens were in great condition and overall one of the best courses in the area
Perfect day for golf.
Always a delight to play this course, one of my favourites locally. Great condition all round.
