Greens are poor sadly
This is my local course and I play a couple of times a year . Sadly the greens were bad they have lines on them filled with sand all but a couple. This did spoil the overall experience sadly and I think they should reduce the price from £25 to £20 as a gesture apart from that though enjoy the course every time and it’s good value with proper greens.
No flag in 2 holes and no rakes a numerous number of bunkers.
Great golf course usually but this time not so good. We were half way through are 3 ball and we’re about 150/175 yards away from green but no flag as reference to hit. So bit of a joke really. Then on a numerous of occasions 1 of the lads hit 2 bunkers on the same hole and no rakes were available or anywhere near the bunkers. Joke really when your paying for a service.
Smashing course in good condition
Had a really nice day out around Blyth GC, pace was good, was let through by one group who were very friendly, as was the Pro who let me know all about the facility.
Lovely golf course
Had a good game of golf here. Course in good condition. A odd green was a little bumpy but overall a nice course. Will defiantly play here again.
Nice course with views all around area.
Good course with nice views around area and out towards sea from higher points. Winter period ground repair/improvement works all completed and course in good condition. Friendly course with very welcoming staff.
Very slow play
This is the course that slow players go , I have played twice now and both times it has been slow to the point of pathetic. We have never been offered to play through and I honestly think that they do not know the concept of letting quicker players in smaller group through. The 3 ball in front of us took easily over 5 minutes on multiple occasions to find lost balls, perfect opportunity to let people twiddling their thumbs on the tee to play through. This is a pity as it's a decent course, however lack of civity and manners mean we will never play there again.
Greens in good condition but to much rough areas and the course layout was bit of a shambles. Looks like they've sold land to developers and sacrificed the course. Front 9 ok but back 9 with 4 par 3's is not good.
Blyth Golf Club
Great course, good condition despite horrendous damage during recent storms.
Struggled to get in the club house before the round but it appears a friendly club.
enjoyed the round.
Course was closed of bad weather
Hi
I paid on GolfNow to play Blyth golf course today 19/11/22 I was unaware this course was closed today because of bad weather, i tried to ring customer service but couldn’t get through for a refund if I could get help me that would be great
Thanks Craig
Friendly geordies
Nice course with wide fairways. Obviously extremely dry like every other course in country. Local members very helpful to visitors.
Risk and reward holes
It’s been a while since I last played here and it’s changed a bit. The 4th is now split into a short drivable par 4 and a par 3 to make up for the loss of what used to be the 10th because of the houses. All in all we still enjoyed it. The course was in good condition the staff were friendly and with winter mat tees on a few holes it was still close to full yardage, the only downside was when we first teed off it was slow due to a few older guys in front. Once they let us through after the 10th it was fine. Some nice holes that definitely reward the bigger driver if they ‘go for it’ especially on the par 5’s and shorter par 4’s.
Great greens
I hadn’t played here for over 10 years, so I was very surprised at how good the course conditions were considering how much rain we’ve had lately, fairways very dry and the greens were some of the best I’ve encountered, I won’t be waiting 10 years to come back
