Guys golf trip,, day one.
We has a great time. The course was in great condition and the pace of play was very good. We will be back!
Very good new course.
The course is only in its 4th year, but already well-established and in very good condition.
Staff could use some training in people skills, but overall a great experience.
Good practice facilities and a beautiful course design.
Great course
Course is always in great shape. Only down side was greens were a little slow, but they !! rolled really nice and true. top notch practice area. Love this course!!!
Excellent player friendly course!
This is a fairly new course with very wide fairways. The course is in pristeen shape. The greens are smooth and putt true. The amenities are A+. I am an 11 handicapper and I needed to parr last two holes for a 78. I doubled and bogeyed for an 81. Loved the course!
Great Course!
Played on a cold windy day. Course was in excellent condition. We played gold tees at 6200 which was enough for the weather conditions. Greens were excellent and the fairways were pretty well grown in from over-seed. Would play again.
Luxurious Fun.
I jumped on the opportunity to play a rather expensive course at a big discount. I certainly wasn't disappointed or surprised by the quality of the facilities or the amenities.
The weather was cold and windy, but I've played in much worse conditions. The course was very impressive, gorgeous tee boxes, fairways, landscaping, cart paths, and greens. I had never before seen the frog hair extended for so many feet off the greens.
I can honestly say this course took 5-10 strokes off of my usual game. Not that it was easy, there was plenty of H2O, sand, undulating greens and long carries, but almost every lie was playable. This was the most FUN round I've ever played, because I felt like I was able to play MY game to the best of my ability.
I could get used to playing here regularly, but it IS pricey. The staff could not have been nicer, and the 19th hole was accommodating despite the bad weather/lack of customers. If you wanted a special event round, or wanted to gift someone special a round of golf, I can tell you the recipient(s) will thank you for a great round.
If you have not played this course, you need to. I cannot imagine anyone at any lever of play that wouldn't appreciate this facility.
FWIW, the facility is not on a GPS map, so call for directions, AND, you may need to program the course itself into a GPS(GolfBuddy) device before you visit.
A little Pricy but always in good shape
Course is in great shape. Wide open off the tee. Fun course to play.
Christmas Eve
Nice course, great conditions for time of year.
Greens just a little slow that day maybe due to thick fog before 9AM.
Always enjoy playing Esplanade when I come down to Bradenton.
One of the top golf in the area Bradenton/Sarasota
One of the top golf in the area of Bradenton/Sarasota...Fairways and greens was in top shade...
A pleasure to play
An enjoyable course to play, in very good condition, good pace of play and the best sand traps in Sarasota Co..
Still one of the best in the area
From out of state, but visit family a couple times a year in Bradenton, so have played here at least once every year since it opened. It was great every time I have played it. This time, the course was in very good condition. Greens not as fast as I am used to, but certainly speedy and true. I'm guessing they were about a 9 stimp? Don't really know for sure, but very playable. Fairways were in nice shape. Tee boxes too.
My only negative was the staff was not that helpful. I was not met at the bag drop by anyone. I left my bag there while I went inside to pay. I waited awhile to be acknowledged at the counter, no big deal, but felt they were not as attentive as in years past. They weren't rude by any means, just kind of uninterested in making my experience anything more than what it was. A day at a daily fee course. There was nothing to make me feel like they cared one way or another whether I came back again.
When I went outside, a cart boy was carrying my bag back to the cart area. He said they were out of carts. I'd have to wait. I was there an hour earlier than my tee time. I asked if I could go to the range and he said with a touch of attitude, "I guess, if you want." Well, I didn't get there an hour early to wait around for a cart. I got there early so I could hit the practice area. Of course I wanted to go to the range. There was no offer to drive me down in the service cart they were using to go back and forth to the range or wherever. They said they'd get me a cart as soon as they could and bring it to me. I then walked down to the range with my heavily-loaded staff bag. Again, no big deal, but I suppose I just expected a little bit more customer service from such a nice, upscale establishment. Maybe I expected too much. I thought of Esplanade as more of a resort-style course, where customer service is of utmost importance. On this visit I did not get that feeling.
Once on the range, I let the starter know I did not have a cart and would need one. He said he'd take care of it. Long story a little shorter, I mentioned a few times over the course of the hour wait that I still didn't have a cart. The starter said he was working on it, yet people with tee-times after me had carts. When my tee-time was 2 minutes away, I still did not have a cart. I was getting antsy by then but did not get upset. When they finally brought me a cart it was 5 minutes past my scheduled tee-time and the other twosome I was paired with was on the tee and had already teed off by the time I got there. I had to rush to get to the tee, with no time to get water and ice for the cart, as I had planned. (I really needed it just from my time on the range.) I rushed off the first tee because the group behind (who, of course, had carts under their bottoms even though scheduled later than me) was now sitting there waiting for my group to get going. Not the way I like to start a round, particularly since I was there over an hour early to get warmed up and comfortable.
All that being said, the course itself is excellent and those who contributed to the negative situations that day may have had extenuating circumstances to deal with that added to their lack of attentiveness. I don't know, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Either way, I was still somewhat disappointed.
You must play this course if you get the chance. It's as nice or nicer than University, Sarasota National or River Strand. Hopefully the questionable service I got was just an anomaly. The course itself is more than enough to bring me back, service or no service.
Best course we played this year in US !
Good pace under four houres. Very friendly Staff. Exellent fairwaysand greens. Me and my wife would like to Come back to this course.
Very much constructionwork around the course made the round a little noicy
Good layout...Fair course
We had a great day for golf and the course was in excellent condition. Staff is friendly and lunch afterward at the tiki bar is a must. Definitely will be back
