Mount Vintage Golf Club - Vintage Course

The course is in great shape so early in the spring. The pace of play is managed by the staff making sure groups actually start at their designated tee times. This place has quickly become my top choice in the CSRA

Course layout was great. No carts had to wait 20 minutes for a cart. Course looks like it was something back in the day. Just not today.

Alot better condition than most courses in the Augusta area.

Great Course all around, hilly, only a couple of blind shots but the cart GPS is very accurate, greens rolled well, maybe a tad slower than normal. Fairway and green side grass is starting to come in. If you get a chance to play at Mount Vintage take advantage of it.

Played Chester-Vintage nines for a tournament practice round and was surprised by the slower than normal green speeds. By slow I mean 9 to 9.5 stimp. Usually they run 10.5 to 11 at Mt. Vintage. Some greens showed signs of winter kill too but it wasn’t prevalent. Hopefully the greens will be rolling better next weekend.

The course layout was beautiful - lots of rolling hills, several blind shots though. The carts have GPS maps... but also control the cart locations. I was surprised the first time it stopped on me. I didn't realize that the play was cart path ONLY and it took forever to creep back to the path!!! The fairways were dry as a bone so why no carts??? Exasperating!!! Lots of walking and time consumption getting to and from the cart - and on lots of rolling and sometimes steep hills. I'll be back but later... after the fairways fill out with new grass. Greens were good, everything else, well, iffy... good and bad.

The fairways and sand traps are in need of repair. Happy for the rate before Masters Week

$250 for no grass in rough and patchy fairways. Greens were the only thing nice. Waste. If it was $50 I’d say good to go. But not $250

The layout is hilly and challenging. Pace of play was great, staff was great. Grass in fairways hadn't started growing yet so the lies were tight. The greens were consistent but a bit slow.

Overall phenomenal Course. Love the layout, lots of water and bunkers which gives a good challenge! Pace of play was okay, not great but not bad either. Generally takes me 2-2.5 hours as a 2-some and it took us about 3.5. Again not bad, but not ideal either. Also the course doesn’t drain specifically well so wait 2-3 days after a heavy rain. Course employees are friendly but the “regulars” are standoffish and rude. Not that that affects the game, just thought it was good to note. Would/will play again!

The staff was great and we had excellent pace of play. Since it is early March, the grass hasn't started growing so the fairways were quite tight and soft from the winter rain. The layout is challenging and very hilly. You get plenty of uneven lies. There are a few too many blind shots into the greens for my taste.

My favorite on golf now-- 1st class course at a great rate

Course has a great layout but is in bad condition. Cart path only and if you were on the wrong side of the fairway could be a long uphill and down hill walk. Played here in October and it was like a different course then. Won't go back till the course conditions chznge.
