About
Alhambra Golf Course has a player-friendly design that is ideal for beginners but also great for more experienced players who are looking for a quick but fun round. The layout is a shorter par-71 design at 5,478 yards. It may not be long but it offers plenty of other challenges. There is plenty of variety between the two vastly different nines. The front nine holes are fairly flat, parkland holes with generous fairways lined with trees. The beginning holes provide a good warm-up for Alhambra Golf Course's more difficult back nine where you'll have to use every club in your bag. The back sprawls across rolling terrain, incorporating elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also more strategically placed bunkers on the back nine. Alhambra's 16th is the signature hole. This tricky par 5 begins with an intimidating tee shot over water in order to reach the fairway.

I love the pro shop staff. Julie & Luke. Especially Jasmine who has moved on.
Our foursome comes from Torrance, Harbor City, La Palma and La Crescenta to play here. We love it and try to play weekly. We don’t want to encourage too many to come here because tee times may be difficult to get. 😂🤣
No marshal present
Very slow playing, as there was SIXSOME front of us. And these guys were not very good.
Very nice course, but could use more signs
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The course itself was very well kept and playable. My only complaint was the lack of signage to direct you to the next hole. I've never played here before and found myself getting confused at times with where the next hole was. Other than that, it was great.

Had a good time.. the course is pretty much green everywhere.. my ball landed by a turtle out on the middle of the fairway ..... that was cool 😎

Played 9 holes in rain
It rained quite a bit so only finished 9 holes. The condition of the green was excellent.

Good course
It is a very good course except duck poo in some hall.

Pace
Played here on 4/9, the price I paid was $25 for 18 and a cart, you can’t beat that price anywhere. Layout is fun, lots of scoring holes, and a couple water holes. The conditions were good. Rough was thick, and the green were quick, tee boxes were in pretty good condition as well.
My only complaint was pace. Even though it was a 4 hour round I waited every single shot. Days like these I would like a beer to enjoy while I wait, but no cart girl to be found. Another complaint is more about the etiquette of some of these so called golfers. Divots all over the green not repaired , bunkers never raked, and I hate it when a group in front is done with the hole, and yet they still sit there in their cart trying to do the math on their score.
People please respect the course, it only takes a moment, and when you are done with the hole MOVE THE F OUT THE WAY!

Playing with co workers
Course was nice. Some areas were a little overgrown maybe from all of the rain we had.

Tee time Alhambra
From our first interaction with checking in at the Pro Shop, to dropping off cart at end of our round, everyone was friendly.
Check in was fast and they actually honor senior cards for discount!
Tee time was even a bit ahead of schedule. ( bonus points) They seemed to pace groups to the timeline starting times( a lost art)
The greens rolled fast and are well kept.( no weeds on the greens)
The restaurant was cranking out delicious food. Patty melt, salad and a Tuna sandwich.
The driving range is updated. The number of balls dispensed compared to other facilities is generous. ( Long Beach are you listening?)
All in all.... another great day at Alhambra Golf Course!
