About
Alhambra Golf Course has a player-friendly design that is ideal for beginners but also great for more experienced players who are looking for a quick but fun round. The layout is a shorter par-71 design at 5,478 yards. It may not be long but it offers plenty of other challenges. There is plenty of variety between the two vastly different nines. The front nine holes are fairly flat, parkland holes with generous fairways lined with trees. The beginning holes provide a good warm-up for Alhambra Golf Course's more difficult back nine where you'll have to use every club in your bag. The back sprawls across rolling terrain, incorporating elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also more strategically placed bunkers on the back nine. Alhambra's 16th is the signature hole. This tricky par 5 begins with an intimidating tee shot over water in order to reach the fairway.

Great little course
Great little course, good condition. Traps could use some sand. Awesome practice amenities!
Golfday
Not a course for beginning golfers!!! Even the yellow tee boxes require a player to be able to hit 7 out of 10 shots within a 40-yard fairway’s lined with some overhanging tree limbs. This course will play best for the lower HCP golfers (2-15). The 16-25 will find themselves having to play their best B+ game to break 100 if 1st time players!! Ladies and Senior’s will enjoy the challenge from the most forward tees.

Alhambra still is awesome!
The course is in great shape. Greens overall are great, a bit fast, but hey, the challenge is great! Sadly few golfers fix their divots, which downgrades the greens condition. Geez, that's golf etiquette 101!
The sand traps could use a bit more sand, as a few were a bit hard.
And for some reason, it seems golfers very rarely fix their divots, either on the fairway and especially on the greens!
Fixing your divots should be mentioned at the golf shop to all registering golfers. Maybe give them a divot tool in the cart, along with the dirt/sand?
But overall, the friendliness of the staff, even the marshal, who hurried us up because the guys behind us played scratch golf, and apparently were in a rush to go home to their wives, were great.

VERY VERY SLOW
You folks let a fivesome go out right in front of us whose average age was 85.. We could see after two holes (45 minutes), there were three empty holes in front of them.. we skipped them. But when we finished. There was a huge backup behind them. And they were at least Five holes behind. . Did not see a marshal on the course.. I’m all about the old guys playing, but when it stops the entire course.. you need to step in..

All good except…
This is the 3rd separate time the groundskeeper has run my ball over. And not just mine, but another guy in the group. On different holes. Otherwise it’s a decent course.
